This book (the result of meditation and experience) is not intended as an exhaustive treatise on the much written upon subject of the power of thought. It is suggestive rather than explanatory, its object being to stimulate men and women to the discovery and perception of the truth that - "They themselves are makers of themselves" - by virtue of the thoughts which they choose and encourage. That mind is the master weaver, both of the inner garment of character and the outer garment of circumstance, and that, as they may have hitherto woven in ignorance and pain, they may now weave in enlightenment and happiness.

"The Narrator Simply Reads - like a Robot"
I bought this because As A Man Thinketh is very inspirational. The narrator, however, read this book like a chore, more like a humanized robot to me. Boring. There are other audiobook for the same title. I suggest Earl Nightingale instead.
Apparently the narrators script had no punctuation. It is unbearable to listen to. As a Man Thinketh is a great work try another narrater.
"A classic book to keep you head right!"
I try to listen to this book once per week to keep my head and vision in the right space. A true classic! Should be required reading in all. A must have.
"A must read!"
Loved It!!!!!!! I can't understand why this is not a mandatory reading assignment in all schools.
Cannot recommend enough. Timeless words that ring as true today as when they were penned. Will listen to this one again and again...
love this book. I'm not a book reader but this book is very good start.
"Must for anyone"
Recommend this to anyone hustling out there. This book is so true in words and will bring you confidence in life
"What Meat and Potatoes are to a man of hard labor"
Since this book is short, it can/must be read at least once a week. Thereby can a man keep near him those things which build, protect and nurtures his soul.
"Avoid this version - terrible narration"
Yes, but not this version. As stated, the narrator is lousy.
Enjoyed those moments that talked about a man's ability to shape himself according to his own visions of perfection.
In two words: hello no. This gentleman is in the wrong line of work. He should consider auto insurance commercial voiceovers if he's determined to do audiowork for pay.
Choice dictates all.
Regret that this narrator was able to so completely ruin this experience for me. I really must give credit to great narrators: their artistry is easy to take for granted until you hear a lousy one.
"Absolutely horrible narration"
Unfortunately I can't rate the book itself because the narration is so terrible I couldn't even listen beyond a few minutes.
His reading skills are awful
