    "Fred Armisen: Genius."

Firstly I think it's great that it's free. Portlandia is one of my favourite shows and candace is my favourite character off of the show so having this travelogue of her being sassy and completely oblivious of how naive she is; is amazing. Fred Armisen as always did a great job and I hope that there may be more to come. What's also great is that I decided to use portlandia as a basis of one of my essays for university (as a I study media and sociology; so I thought that the show is a great foundation for discussion and it's also hilarious) so having this audio book free gives me doe thug more to discuss and creates a multi media background for me to analysis so I think it's great. Very excited for the new episodes as always!

"An intimate look into the sexual explorations of one of the most provocative women on the planet."

But in all seriousness this was one of the funniest things I've ever heard. You are given a behind the scenes glance at what it's really like to sit in a recording booth behind a microphone with your $50 check and try to deliver an interesting portrayal of the Author's vision. Fred Armisen is one of the wittiest minds of his generation and I look forward to more readings from Portlandia characters especially Peter & Nance.

    "Amusing parody of audio books"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

    It's short. It's funny. It's free.

What did you like best about this story?

Love the way Candace (Fred) parodies the sometimes excessive descriptive devices of fiction and the highly stylized reading style present in some audio books.

    Any additional comments?

I'm looking forward to the new season of Portlandia. In the meantime, I encourage you to check out Carrie Brownstein's new book / audiobook Hunger Makes Me a Modern Girl.

"I Writhe As I Write This Review!"
What did you love best about FREE: Portlandia Travelogue: The Brussels to Antwerp Express?

    Everything! It was absolutely hilarious!

What other book might you compare FREE: Portlandia Travelogue: The Brussels to Antwerp Express to and why?

Fifty Shades of Grey! Hey, I never read it fully or listened to it but from a few excerpts it is equally ridiculous. What makes this a win is that it's comedy... and the other is awfully written romanticised rape.

What does Candace Devereaux (Fred Armisen) bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

You only have to listen to KNOW what he brings to the table. If I had read this, I wouldn't have enjoyed it so much, and I wouldn't have laughed all the way through.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It's fifteen minutes long so, yes. It is short, and satisfying.

    Any additional comments?

Get it! It's free and hilarious!

    "A Short, Free, Fun Listen"

This has a few laugh-out-loud moments even for those unfamiliar with Fred Armison's work or this character. Even my husband enjoyed it, and he had never heard of either before. Good, but not great. Grade: B-minus. Thanks for the free gift, Audible!
