Summary
Sookie Stackhouse is a small-town cocktail waitress in small-town Louisiana. She's pretty. She does her job well. She keeps to herself - she has only a few close friends, because not everyone appreciates Sookie's gift: she can read minds. That's not exactly every man's idea of date bait - unless they're undead - vampires and the like can be tough to read. And that's just the kind of guy Sookie's been looking for.
Maybe that's why, when she comes across a naked vampire on the way home from work, she doesn't just drive on by. He hasn't got a clue who he is, but Sookie has: Eric looks just as scary and sexy - and dead - as the day she met him. But now he has amnesia, he's sweet, vulnerable, and in need of Sookie's help - because whoever took his memory now wants his life.
Sookie's investigation into what's going on leads her straight into a dangerous battle between witches, vampires and werewolves. But there could be even greater danger - to Sookie's heart, because the kinder, gentler Eric is very hard to resist.

Good fun stuff
I can't help but enjoy these. Love Sookie's quirky ways and her honest dialogue. I find myself walking down the street and grinning as Sookie conveys her thoughts in her unique style. Good fun stuff - hardly literary genious, but 4 books read, and I'm about to download the fifth in the series. Just wish they were all bundled together so the story would be more cost effective!

Go Sookie!
Sookie is still reeling from her betrayal by Bill and is therefore a little vulnerable at the moment. Bill has been sent away on business and she is left alone. On her way home from work she comes across a naked Eric who is running towards her house. Stunned she takes him in and what follows is a wonderfully entertaining story of how, why and what to do about this situation as Eric dosen't seem to know who he is. On top of this Jason has also disappeared. I already own all the books but this one was one of my favourites and thought it would be great to have it on audio, I wasn't disappointed - the narration is wonderful she gets the 'voice' of Sookie just how I imagined her.

Dead to the World
This was my first ever audio book, I read the first three in paperback. I was amazed at how good Johanna Parker is at bringing all the characters to life, She was a great choice for these stories. I think it helps going through them all in sequence, not sure I would like to join the series part way through. The only niggle is some bits are repetative for the benefit of new readers so the story can wander slightly. Other than that they are all brilliant and very entertaining stories

Dead To The World
This is book 4 in the Sookie Stackhouse series and one of my favourites. Eric has no idea who he is, and Sookie agrees to keep him with her until he regains his memory, but as usual, she takes on more than she bargained for, and this time, there are some unseen repercussions. With Charlaine Harris's trademark snappy style, exciting plot and great characters, this is a must-listen.

Fabulous!
Love this book! The whole series is great, and really easy to listen to on audio. However, this is probably my favourite - the interaction between Sookie and Eric is so entertaining I find myself laughing out loud at frequent intervals. Can't wait for number 10 to come out - roll on May!

Which witch vampire....
Another engaging story in the Sookie Stackhouse series.
It left me wondering “what next” all the way through and at the end wanting to hear what next...
Good story (a bit racy at times!!).
