Summary
Seoafin Wilde was taught by her parents that every breath was a treasure and to seek every adventure she could find. She learns this lesson the hard way after they perish in a plane crash. When she discovers there’s a parallel universe where every person has a twin, she finds a witch who can send her there so she can see her parents again.
And have the adventure of a lifetime.
Upon arrival in the winter wonderland of Lunwyn, Finnie realizes she’s been played and finds herself walking down the aisle to wed The Drakkar.
Instantly thrown into inauspicious circumstances, with years of practice (she did survive that elephant stampede), Finnie bests the challenges and digs into her adventure.
But as Frey Drakkar discovers the woman who is his new wife is not Princess Sjofn, a woman he loathes, but instead his Finnie, a free spirit with a thirst for venture just like him, without her knowledge, he orders his new bride bound to his frozen world…
Everlasting.

This book made so angry
If you're looking for mutual love and romance leave this book alone. Don't touch it with a barge pole. This book made so angry with its backwards thinking that I didn't finish it. First time I have ever bailed half way through a book. Here are my reasons for quitting this book:
She might be a lesbian, but you can still force yourself on her. That's rape... No thank you.
I am big important man! I can make decisions for you without your consent!
I am a man and can sleep with whoever I want regardless of marriage because I am a man. You as woman must be faithful to husband.
I as man take away your choices as woman. As man I want you to have my child and will go behind your back and tamper with your BIRTH CONTROL. You will have my child and have NO CHOICE IN THIS MATTER! Or knowledge of this until you are pregnant AND THEN we can discuss this. THIS IS NOT OKAY!
I stopped listening after this. Because of these abusive themes wrapped in pretty ribbons I genuinely feel this booked should have a warning. Argh... The main character looses her backbone as well, becomes the man's door mat and accepts it all as her fault! Lastly there are no repercussions for man's abusive decisions! Just don't bother.

Read this book and leave the series 🚩
I really enjoyed listening to this book, and I would still have good memories of it, if not for the book 2 and 3 (then I stopped listening to them)
I liked Finnie, that she is more on the feminine side, but fiercely approach all new situations. Her vocabulary was irritating, but liking her I got over it. I focused on interesting storyline, which was different from what I usually read. I didn't mind it being mostly about relationship. I quite enjoyed their interactions, and would not think much more of it, if not for next books.
I believe experience with this one can be really enjoyable, if you do not expect much of a plot. If you are here for romance with possessive alpha male with spice 🌶, then you're all set.
So if like me, you never read KA book before, grab this one, enjoy, and leave this author for good.
If you wanna know what spoiled it for me, keep reading.
* SPOILERS A HEAD *
I find her next book in series, Golden Dynasty, very problematic. Very anti-woman. And it is not about that she created very misogynistic society (complete rip off from GoT) that rapes, beats and kills women on regular basis. It is what our next heroine do after contact with this society. She adapts, accepts it, with slave, raping and everything. She falls in love with her rapist and convince other woman to do the same. I repeat, mc is woman from modern world. I find it so extremely unrealistic, misogynistic and in conflict with our current knowledge about psychology of trauma, I just can't. Author either have zero life's wisdom or she has internalized misogyny to her core. It's just sad.
After reading second book I start to remember all 🚩 from Wildest Dreams, which I missed before. That he was dragging her everywhere. That in all her books woman is forced to get pregnant. That all of them are being isolated, manhandled, manipulated. That they forgive every affront, and it is called happy ending. All what I can see, are years of abuse a head of them.
Unfortunately, next books showed me serious flaws in writing. Finnie vocabulary and behavior was not artistic choice, but generic female character of this author, that she copy paste to every book. And seeing this it just makes her look extremely immature and stupid. It is quite a peculiar that most authors write teenagers acting like adults, but KA writes 30+ women acting like 12 year olds. Also plot gets weaker and weaker with every book.
Wildest Dreams is really her best work, and it's just better to be in the dark about authors real abilities and worldview.

To be taken with a grain of salt
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
I just cannot like any single character in the book. The writing is very good and there is nothing to complain there but the characters are everything I hate in books: a girl that cries and expects to be rescued, a man who is overbearing and selfish...

I have listened to this book at least 5 times, understanding the small details and twists. I really enjoy the ups and downs of the characters.

Chapter 5, titled Welcome home. The moment the main characters really talked
What about Tillie Hooper’s performance did you like?
She is amazing, her male voices are impressive.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I was addicted to this everywhere I went it was playing in my ears.
Any additional comments?
I think this is one of my favourite books in my audible library. It was beyond my Wildest Dreams.

Review wildest dreams
I would highly recommend that story it was beautiful. I listen to the end and listen again straight after 🥰 . The female character shows a lot of strength and positivity after being put in new world and situations she did not realised she will have to face. I also enjoy growing romance between main characters . The narrative of the book was excellent as well .
