A beautiful absorbing story, well read and couldn't wait to get to the end. Brilliant. Suitable for anyone who is a hopeless romantic.
I enjoy reading but never find the time to pick up a book so Audible has been a great find! Addicted to good detective crime books!
A nice easy listening book with some good twists and turns but narrator isn't good with the male voices as others have said.
I did enjoy it and pushing that aside a good book in all.
No, loads of the characters sounded like they had laryngitis.
it was cute and cheerful and inoffensive
If half the characters didn't sound like they were recovering from some sort of horrific throat complaint.
It wasn't even just the men!
Overall this was a good story, although a bit predictable. I wasn't keen on the narrator's voices for the different characters. This was an entertaining book but I don't think I would listen to it again.

This is not terrible, but it's not well written. It overuses metaphor and the dialogue is, at times, written like the author got down a thesaurus to liven-up sentences, rather than simply write as the character would have spoken. Needless to say, that jarred. It would be a much better book if Veronica Henry had simply trusted herself and not tried so hard. Maybe it improved after the first couple of chapters. I got no further than that and will return.
