Publisher's Summary

Girl gone wild...

College is supposed to be a time of discovery, but Danielle Vaughn never imagined it would be like this: Heightened senses, supernatural powers, and a sudden craving for human blood. Dani is a demi-vamp, the daughter of a human psychic and a vampire noble, a living secret kept hidden for 21 years.

As Dani's heritage manifests itself, her thirst for blood is matched only by her hunger for Chase Diedrick. But as the son of the Vampire Council's most powerful ruling family, Chase is already promised to another. Dani saw Council politics destroy her mother's life; she won't let the same thing happen to her. Besides, there's no shortage of men who are eager to satisfy her every need, including the alluring vampire Kayden.

Unfortunately, Dani also has no shortage of enemies. Her heightened powers of telepathy and telekinesis attract the attention of a rogue vamp who preys on gifted vampires, absorbing their skills along with their lifeblood. Now, Dani must seek the Council's help to quickly master her new vampire life...or risk losing it.

    "Pretty good but too long"

Story was nice, pretty solid YA vampire romance. I found it hard to over look a few kind of obvious issues, such as Dani has mind control powers yet in a few situations she can't/doesn't use it when she and other people are in danger for some reason despite the fact she can control a room full of people in a split second when no one is I danger. It's illogical of the author to give her such a super power and emphasis how powerful it is and then completely ignore it in dire situations.

    "This book deserves 10 Stars!!"

First off don't listen to the haters they must be listening to some other story because I recently discovered this new author who is quickly becoming one of my favorites she ranks up there with Jeaniene Frost who is my all time favorite! This book was amazing!! It has everything from a great story line, amazing characters, a love triangle, unexpected twist and turns. I love love love it. I love the longer length of the book. It is well worth the credit and it will be a wonderful addition to your collection! Can't wait for the next books in the series. You will not be disappointed.

Awesome narrator she is ranking up there with Tavia Gilbert!

    Don't listen to the haters!!

    "LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT!"

I loved it all, it is different and an entirely fresh perspective on the vamp thing. I am hooked on this series. The characters are rich, real, and refreshing. The love story part is great and angsty. I loved each character and hope they will have their own books. Can't wait to see where this goes. Not your normal vamp series, hoping for the greatness to continue. Book 2 here I come.

    "IT BLEW ME AWAY"

I can safely say that my Library is overflowing with Vampire book/series but NONE, and I mean NONE, had the same impact on me that this minute by minute, pulse-pounding, gut-wrenching phenomenal and intense listen had with it's romantic and emotional heart-wrenching twists and turns, revelations, surprises, secrets and shocks. Cat Miller has created a new Vampire world with it's Laws, Dictates, Rules, Prophecies, Villains, Heroes, Heroines and innocent bystanders that'll suck you into the non-stop dramas and dilemmas that's forced, welcomed or thrust upon so many of it's characters. Then, at the end if the listen, you're left emotionally drained and dazed that the story has not ended..... but rather the battle has just begun.

I'm not going to give any further details as it just wouldn't be enough, or fair to give clues that may rob you of the excitement and pleasure of finding out what a gem this awesome listen is but I will say that it's also an absolute bargain at $7.34 for over 15 hours of pure paranormal escapism at it's best.... including any flaws.

"Vampire Love Story is Really a Good Listen"
    Any additional comments?

My biggest pet-peeve is waiting for the next installments when a cliffhanger is in play . I'm very close to giving up and calling it quits on Cat Miller. The first two books are currently in my top ten but I have been waiting too fucking long for book three. I do recommend this series to audio listeners if you don't have a problem with waiting a year to get book three. I know it sounds like I'm bitter, because I am. Bottom line is the books are worth the credits but I'm moving on to a knew series with complete series available

    "Could not put it down!!"
What made the experience of listening to Unbound the most enjoyable?

The narrator did an excellent job on this one. She had all the emotions in her voice when needed and this story ran the gambit. The narrator would have made this book worth the read even if the story wasn't as good but it was.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It took me a little bit to get into the book because it's essentially two stories told simultaneously. This book has it all. It's a tragic love story, evil villains, vampires, romance and a happy ending. I can't wait for the next book. I will definitely pick it up.

    Any additional comments?

I laughed, I cried, I rolled my eyes. By the time I was half way through the book I couldn't put it down. Great story.

    "Perfect Blend!"

First of all I don't like vampire books, they are very over done in paranormal romance novels, but I completely LOVED this book! I am actually shocked at myself of how much I loved this book. The book was a perfect blend of action, mystery, intrigue and sex.
We have our newly 21 year old Dani Vaughn transferring from her local Maryland community college to a New York school. Days before leaving Dani has strange dreams of biting people and drinking blood, that she chalks up to stress of leaving her long time boy friend and her mother behind to pursue a better college out of state. In New York Dani seems to have become the new catnip for the male gender and is irresistible to any that cross her path, human or vampire alike. Dani slowly learns of her unique heritage and she must be kept a secret. The book is so deliciously intriguing, I think my canines just got longer. The series has fabulous potential and I have the second book in my wish list waiting for it to come out.

    "AN INTERESTING HOT MESS"

I gotta admit before I do this, that I not only listened to it like an addict, I got the next book and did the same. I'm floored by how interesting I found this flawed book. I think I just wanted to see how this hot mess would untangle itself.

Meet Dani. A normal college student that finds out she's a half-vampire with some pretty crazy abilities. She adores her boyfriend, who is awesome and ideal until things go wrong. Meet Chase, the guy you think will be a minor bad guy who just wants to get into her pants but turns out to be her major love interest. Without spoiling it, his character simply frustrated me. There's two others guys too... this girl has four, count them, four love interests, non of whom deserve her yet non of whom should get stuck with her, a self-proclaimed "slut." Um, yeah, sweety, ya kind of are.

I have no love for the heroine, find no reason any of these guys should get her, and I'm so frustrated by her father's choices, not to mention the guy she ends up with, that the whole thing made me shake my head or roll my eyes.

    Yet I couldn't. Stop. Listening.

Can I recommend this book? Worth a credit? I have no idea. Yes? You made love it. You may hate it. I found it annoying yet drank it in. Even though the narrator sounds like a valley girl, I drank it in. Your choice.

    "Undecided - Narrator was annoying"
    Any additional comments?

The narrator was very annoying with her 'valley girl' accent. I do not appreciate her using her girly accent when speaking for all of the male characters! I also do not like the fact that these "strong and power" vampires were unable to keep one girl safe. It is all unrealistic and quite annoying.

    "LOVED It"
Would you consider the audio edition of Unbound to be better than the print version?

I love this more because it sets my imagination like iam the main girl in the story and i love all the details

What did you like best about this story?

How the girl dose not stay a vergin the whole time and basiclly shows that you dont have to stay with the first guy you meet to be the love of your life

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

    o yes o yes o yes!!!!!!!!!!!

    Any additional comments?

    its a must read

    "Unbelievable"
    Any additional comments?

I started off loving this book and ended up wondering how a good book manages to fall so hard on its ass. Danielle turned from being a complete innocent to (in her words) a vamp slut. God that girl could fall in love fast. For me it made the whole concept of her and Chase as soul mates totally unbelievable. There was not one male in this book who I could truly Cheer on, there were just too many. Sadly this book was not for me and i am very uncertain if i will continue on with this series...
