I read/listen a LOT, I will try all genre's but I don't necessarily love all genre's. I believe reading expands the mind and imagination.
Strange little story, feels like there should've been much more to it and I found the reading of it distracting, the different accents etc
Very weak and very short story. Not really worth bothering with.
Narrator did a reasonable job but she was working with poor material.
Obsessed with psychological thrillers, crime, mystery and dystopian fictions. A good drama now and again. A harsh critic at times.
I have to admit I was totally gripped throughout but it fizzled away when it just seemed like listening to a short episode of Midsummer Murder - slightly inconclusive and may have been better as an actual novel.
"To die for"
Excellent book with understanding of people's nature. Enjoyed listening to this book. Will definitely follow this author
"*Death by Bullying*"
Ryan was barely 18 yr. old. He was good looking, popular, and likeable, yet he chose to end his own life. Why? This is the story of the dark undercurrents that run deep in our society, where the domineering seek to control, and destroy others for the feelings of power it weilds. This was a good read, but left me feeling as if the book ended in the middle of a chapter.
"To Die For"
A new to me author with great characters. You are dropped right into the action. Alice Clark-Platts weaves British CSI with human failings for an interesting twist.
The narration by Rachel Bavidge fit the story perfectly. Her voice allowed the characters to come out of the page and onto the wide screen movie theater in my head.
I will be looking for more of Alice Clark-Platts' books and more performances by Rachel Bavidge.
So good that it left me wanting hours more. Would have rated higher if it had been longer.
The performer of this recording was excellent. With main,y female characters, she protracted their well.
"Potential, but strongly lacking"
I feel like this book had so much potential that needed to be played on. It's almost like the author had a rough draft and idea and then just didn't finish the book. It's like, it could've been great. But instead it's just lacking in every crevice.
"A good short story/thriller."
I would recommend this for a quick easy thriller.
I really liked her performance. She was easy to listen to and had great transitions between roles.
"Cain and Able"
Anthony feels he is one upped by his brother Ryan in everything. Anthony teases his Ryan for confiding to him a deep secret. Ryan also shares his deep secrets with "a friend" who pushes him to do something unthinkable because she is extremely shallow and not really grounded. A story of how nasty young people can act towards each other. In the end nobody wins.
It was very well written, but too short. would have enjoyed it if it had been longer and maybe additional storyline.
It was a nice short story. The reader did a great job, awesome. Details were great
