Certain individuals might consider Lady Amelia Pembroke a managing sort of female, but truly most people would be lost without her help. Why, the latest on-dit is that rakish Viscount Sheffield is canceling the fete of the year because he hasn't time for silly soirees. He doesn't need time - he needs her!
When a flash of lightning destroys the venue for his family's annual Christmas ball, Lord Benedict Sheffield intends to enjoy a relaxing holiday for once. But after 12 days of beguiling Lady Amelia's guerrilla tactics, he's up to his cravat with tinsel...and tumbling head over heels in love.

"A lovely listen!"
Well THAT was an unexpected surprise! I enjoyed this one, quite a lot, actually.
I was expecting very little from this historical romance novella. First of all, this was a freebie, and with only $1.99 extra for the matching audiobook, a total bargain. Second of all, this was an unknown author to me, with some very mixed reviews from my Goodreads friends. However, this was a very sweet story, with a smart, interesting heroine.
I adored the female MC, something that I sometimes struggle with, but I really liked her control and her sensible nature. She was really refreshing, honestly. My main complaint was not the characters or the storytelling, but in how FAST the romance progressed. I could have used waaaay more relationship development than this book gave me.
In terms of audiobook narration, Stevie Zimmerman did a lovely job. She did excellent male and female voices (a MUST for me), and acted out the scenes well. However, the actual recording quality was a little "home recorded" for me. It was a tiny bit muffled sounding, but I got used to it as the story went on, and I didn't mind it much.
While it wasn't perfect, it was an easy, quick listen and an EXCELLENT deal. Historical audio lovers should snatch this one up.
"Delightful short story!!!"
Plot and characters were pleasant, funny and unpredictable.
Yes! Immensely enjoyed his performance.
Sheffield' s Christmas Ball!!! Will Lady Amelia be able to assist Lord Sheffield with the disaster which has fallen upon his Ballroom? Well-developed storyline. Fast-paced read. A beautiful love fun filled romance story.
the voice goes so well with this story, it was well written and the characters easy to love
"Narrator brings a wonderful story to life"
Narrator brings a wonderful story to life! Her voices a believable and the characters are wonderful. I love the oddities of the heroine!
"I loved this book"
I loved the characters and the story. The narrator was excellent. I will be buying more of these books.
"THE VISCOUNT'S CHRISTMAS TEMPTATION"
A quick, fast read/audible!
A long lovely, sweet Christmas Romance. The narrator, Stevie Zimmerman , did an awesome job convening this story to the listener.
A quick audio to Listen to on a long ride!
Fantastic narrator, and a fantastic story.
My only complaint, a bit short, but the knowledge of more to come, makes it worthwhile.
A wonderful introduction to the amazing "The Dukes of War" series. When you get the chance pick this one up, for your listening pleasure.

"A fun temptation
It was good. No struggles to finish it. Voice-over artist not bad at all.
I love a good historical romance and this one didn't disappoint me. I enjoyed the characters Lady Amelia and the steps the Viscount took to win her over. And I love this narrator!! She is amazing!
"Narration Enhances a Great story"
About equal but I really enjoyed hearing the story
Both Amelia and Benedict - they are both so single minded in their lives but each need the other to help balance them
Benedict - she is able to voice his surprise and consternation when dealing with Amelia
It was short enough that it could have been listened to in one sitting
I had already read the book and so knew the story but listening to it really made it all the more enjoyable
"Loved it. Can't wait for the rest of the series."
I loved the banter between Lady Amelia and Viscount Sheffield. The story is funny and charming.
I loved how Lady Amelia manages everything and everyone around her without being annoying and unlikeable. She has a kind nature and has everyone's best interests at heart.
I thought the narrator did a good job especially of differentiating between the different male characters. I would have preferred an RP accent for the aristocratic voices to differentiate between people of different classes. I found the accents of the aristocratic characters, and in particular Lady Amelia, to be slightly on the common side which doesn't truly reflect the characters and I found this aspect to be disappointing.
