Three signs that something is very different with your new man:
1. He sleeps all day... which would be annoying, except he's so attentive at night.
2. He's attacked by sword-wielding assailants, yet insists he can handle it on his own.
3. He never seems to age.
Heather Westfield has always lived a quiet life, but that all changes when she helps a very handsome, very mysterious stranger. There's something not quite right about Jean-Luc, but still, she's never been with a man so charming, so attractive... so wonderful. Now if only a murderous villain wasn't after them, they might get their happily-ever-after.

I love this story. My only wishes is that Phil who is from Wyoming would sound like a New Yorker and that they would say the name McKay they way it is said in Scotland not how it is said in the states since Angus and Robbie are from Scotland they would say it the Scottish way.
"Terrible narration - couldn't finish"
I'm not sure who would enjoy it. The narrator did such a terrible job with the accents that I could only listen to about 10 minutes of it before I turned it off.
My review is based solely on the audio version of this book. I don't know if the story is disappointing or not. I could not get past the first chapter. In that time the story seemed interesting. I have read other books in this series by Kerrelyn Sparks and really liked them. I have not listened to those audio books however.
The accents, especially the French, were cartoonish and over played. It is difficult to connect with the romantic hero of a book when he sounds like Pepe Le Pew. The book would be better with a narrator who could do subtle accents.
I cannot judge the story in this book because I was unable to listen to much of it.
This audio book was a waste of my joining credit. Don't waste your money or credits on this.
I really enjoyed this book and got into the story very easily. This narrator does such a superb job of reading the different accents and she gives Bethany (the little girl) just the right touch. Very enjoyable listening!
After loving book 3 and the narrator with the Scottish accents especially angus and Emma, then this one just ruins the whole feel of the characters feels like you are listening to a whole different series. Enjoyed book 1 & 2 also including the narrators, but it won't stop me from listening to the rest of the series I am hooked
Not if she is doing Scottish accents
The narrator from book 3
I found this book a really fun read! Liked the story line and love the characters!
The one thing about the book is the title! Just don't understand why it has the title! The Vamp doesn't live next door!
I am also glad to see that the writer and the editor use correct grammar! Reading is the best way to learn the English language! Correct grammar should be requirement. For writers and editors?
I really think you will enjoy this book,
love this series can't get enough listen to them all night long at work😀amazing books
"Love the story / Narrator so-so!"
The narrator had trouble with some accents. Couple of glitch with the sounds, too. voice would go up and down. But I do love this series and will continue to get more of the books, just hope the narrators get better as we go along.
"narration is funny"
Get narrators who can do accents.
The story was fine.
Very much. The accent were bad.
No, the books do well connecting the stories.
"Most irritating narrator ever"
A decent narrator.
Predictable. The book really left no lingering emotion when it was over. It was just over - nothing to think about or evaluate.
The narrator's accent imitations were so annoying I couldn't concentrate on the story. She was also a very slow reader and I just kept thinking - get on with it already!
This book definitely wasn't my favorite in the series. In retrospect, I would have skipped it.
"I love the undead"
They r both great I read the print version frist, the audio let's me enjoy it the secound time around
Sparks allowes her people to b real, not even the heros make misstakes,or is that stakes
Her voice is suthoing
Even the undead can love (n not get fangy)
Sparks is a hell of a story teller
Worth buying... enjoyed the listen. I own the book and now audio. Love it!
The Humor and romance
