Really, really enjoyed this book. Very funny. There was a hint of slapstick comedy about the story that I loved. There is a sadness too that was beautifully explored. The narration was perfect. I did find myself laughing out loud while driving along. Perfect company in the car. Thank you.
An avid listener of fiction, it almost makes the long journey to work worth it.
there were some scenarios that were just unbelievable but I can image it would be very Bridget Jones if it was made into a film.
yes; easy to listen to, nice funny girly story
the birth of Adam
excellent. This lady has many voices akin to listening to a radio play with many performers
no but I did shudder as poor Imogen went from disaster to disaster
I am 31 year old mum to be and I'm totally addicted to audible. I have listened to a wide variety of books and recently enjoying thrillers.
Great fun and very entertaining..also very good narration 👍
I will be checking out her other books on here for sure
This is an undemanding read. It is full of mildly amusing references and an excess of cringe-worthy mishaps. There are no big surprises and the ending is predictable, but a pleasant enough story for all that. Once I got over the contradiction of the main character's inability to be sensibly assertive and yet very successful in a demanding position and with a ridiculous mother, I quite enjoyed this tale. The narrator did a good job with various accents, although the Italian accented English of a significant character got lost partway through, which was a shame. I remember now why I dislike a Liverpudlian voice, even one less extreme as here. Its very unlikely that I'll listen to this book again.
