Summary

Ruth and her three small children eagerly await the return of their father who has taken his fishing boat for a refit at a boatyard in the north of Scotland. Rising waters takes them on a journey to a remote hill farm.

Surprised by Lilian Beckwith

Lilian Beckwith was a favourite of mine in the 90s. Seeing the titles on Audible, I knew I was going to enjoy, however, the story has an unexpected twist and is thrilling. It depicts the journey of a young mother with her three children as they escape from life changing tyranny, very much in the moment of real life in Europe at present. Excellent. Highly Recommended.
