Amy Wilde is tired of the idiots her glamorous flatmate Jo keeps foisting upon her - she'd much rather be digging in the garden with her dog Badger at her side than trying to find the man of her dreams. That is, until she meets Leo Wolfsburg.
Handsome, polite and funny, Leo is everything Amy could want in a boyfriend. Best of all, the attraction seems mutual. But Leo's lifestyle is a world away from her own. Private planes, charity balls, exclusive members' clubs - Amy begins to realise that her simple existence is being turned upside down. Is that what she wants?
And just where is Leo's home country of Nirona, anyway? Is there something he isn't telling her?

"The Runaway Princess has an adorable heroine, divine hero and gorgeous writing - basically, it's just perfect. You'll love this book, I promise!" (Jill Mansell)
"Deliciously addictive." (Cosmopolitan)
Lovely easy read, with some interesting characters, I always like to rate a story based on the emotions it draws as the story progresses. I can happily say it made me laugh and nearly shed a tear in places. The character of Leo, seemed undiscovered though and I think there were hidden parts of his personality hinted at but never fully explored. So I would of liked the author to of delved deeper with him. Amy however was adorable and loved her nature chord which struck with me as I have an equal love of Gardening. Thankyou for the story, really enjoyed it.
I really enjoyed the first half of this book, but after that I just started to get bored. The characters were all right but again they started to grate on me after awhile. If you are looking for sweet and fluffy then you will probably love this. Unfortunately I just found it cloying and irritating. Maybe if it wasn't so long, or the main character or her male counter part had a spine I might have liked it more. The narrator did a good job and was the only reason I stuck with it as long as I did.
A wonderful way to escape from the reality of 'normal' life. Who wouldn't want to be swept off her feet by a handsome prince (in a daydream if nothing else)? But Hester Browne manages to put enough 'reality' in the way to make the story very entertaining. Amy reacts with recognisable nerves and excitement at the international world she falls into. A fun, entertaining story.
It gave a glimpse of a life that most of us never could imagine
The accent was very fitting for the main character
Dreams really can come true
Fun book with some lovely details that bring the story to life. Wonderful descriptions of the main character's profession and character that make you laugh out loud and smile a lot.
Yes, it was a lovely story to get lost in and I really warmed to the characters.
Yes. I was torn between listening all in one and not wanting it to end!
I love chick lit and this was right up my street! I thought it was good fun and well written and would recommend it to anyone who wants to switch of and daydream of fairytale love stories.
