"Short and Sweet Shifter Story!"
Love the cover and title!
A short and sweet story that was well developed with drama, conflict and some steamy sex scenes.
The characters Daniela and Russ were well developed and watching their relationship grow was both cute and sexy. Russ definitely made her a stronger women and they made a great couple.
The dual narration was really good and I liked how Shoshana and Samuel betrayed each of the main characters voices. I would definitely listen to another audiobook narrated either of them.
Great short story for sale or whispersync deal.
"Love this story"
I have to say I loved this audio. The authors and the narrators did an amazing job. Shoshana Franck and Samuel Boden really put a lot of emotion into the book. It really pulls you into the story.
I was drawn to this book at first because of the name “The Right To Bear Arms, what can I say it is a very catchy title. Of course the fact that it was a shifter book and the storyline helped as well. I am glad I got the opportunity to read the book. It is one amazing shifter book.
Daniela she was a beautiful plus size woman. She had been thru so much. Some might look at her and think she was weak because she stayed in an abusive relationship for so long, but I don’t see that to be the case. She is a survivor. Though she might have some insecurities about men she was a very strong woman. She showed that when she walked away from her ex and several times again thru out the book. She was truly an amazing woman.
Russell was a retired Army vet who was a bear shifter and a widower. Women would look at him like he was a sex god. Some might think because of his looks and built he was one that would go for a model type, but no he was one that like a girl with a little meat on her bones. He was protective and loyal. He was every girls dream.
For those who have not read this book then trust me you will so enjoy this book. You will love the way he wins her not only thru his human side but his bear side as well. You will love her interaction with the bear side of him and might even laugh a bit. I know have a new book boyfriend.. Russ is just yummy.
"A sweet and entertaining novella"
This was a short listen (about 3hrs). It's about Daniella (a curvy latina...yay) who is rebuilding her life after her divorce from her abusive husband. One day while her ex-husband is confronting her, her neighbor rolls by and stops to give her some assistance. From there the two build a budding friendship/relationship. Not going to go into detail since the story is so short it'll be easy for me to give you a blow by blow...lol.
The story was sweet, entertaining, and engaging. I did wish the shifter aspect of the story was a bit more prominent. Also and this is just a personal peeve of mine. I find that stories (no not all) that feature a curvier heroine often give the heroine some self esteem issues. There were times in the story where Daniella was all like "yes honey, check out my body and my curves, grab a spoon and eat this shit up" then there were times where she was really self conscious. I would have liked to have her confident the whole time and not have body issue be a plot device. but again that's my preference and no that doesn't affect my review.
Story - 3.25
Narrators - 3
The narrators started off very wooden but they found their groove shortly after the story started. I would listen to another of their performances separate and together.
"Must get !! Girls are as strong as the boys ... But they are fun to have around"
Must read loved it to the point I read it and went back to get audio addition. In one month I've read it twice and listened 3 times. Love it 💞💜❣
So many, really enjoyed the bear putting his head in her lap after chasing her ex away.
Yes and did
A wonderful love story. While it was a shifter tale, and a military shifter, it was different in that the bear was the first to begin their "relationship". Can't really explain without a spoiler alert. However, I loved their relationships progress. Russ was the Texan, gentleman and so much more. Loved the accents and I did enjoy the male voice and a female voice with the two narrators.
It is one of the best.
The ending was fantastic, had to listen to it a few times, wow.
It is to difficult to pick out a favorite, but I did love how it cam together in the end.
I could not stop listening to it, once I started
It is a great book, you will not be sorry that you got it.
"Sweet/cute anglo bear male & latina divorced human"
This was a cute story of a bear shifter widower VET anglo being neighbors with a recent abused divorcee latina. The female lead fallings for a cute bear that she starts to give scrapes in the morning & avoiding her bothersome violent ex husband. Her neighbor tries to help ( was in special forces) He is a widower and HATES men hitting woman. A relationship develops from him helping her. This is a good start to more books in the series. Good fight scenes, drama and surprises. Worth a credit
"What's not to love?"
I loved this as an ebook, and the audio didn't disappoint. The two voice artists did a great job telling this spicy story of a great bear of a man teaching a divorcee how to protect herself from her abusive ex.
As usual, Ms. Savage does a great job developing characters and an engaging storyline.
Have a listen. You won't regret it.
"Loving this bear"
Dani had a rough marriage and meeting Russ was perfect finding out his secret is not going to go down so easily much less her crazy ex bugging her
I received a free audio copy from the author in exchange for a fair and honest review.
Wow. This book. I mean seriously. THIS BOOK. I didn't want to put it down. And that's a rarer thing that happens for me when it comes to books featuring current or former military people.
And the dealing with abusive ex. There are very few ways that I would really deem appropriate. And the way this book did it? Magnificent. I literally couldn't have written it better.
