He's a game she never intended to play.
And she's the game changer he never knew he needed.
The Perfect Game tells the story of college juniors, Cassie Andrews & Jack Carter. When Cassie meets rising baseball hopeful Jack, she is determined to steer clear of him and his typical cocky attitude. But Jack has other things on his mind... like getting Cassie to give him the time of day.
They're both damaged, filled with mistrust and guarded before they find one another (and themselves) in this emotional journey about love and forgiveness. Strap yourselves for a ride that will not only break your heart, but put it back together.
Sometimes life gets ugly before it gets beautiful....

"OMG! I loved this story!"
One of my favorites. I bought it for my kindle originally and then audible had it available and I bought it there. So glad that I did cause I truly enjoy the emotion the narrator adds.
I liked how real the storyline is. You can relate to the characters.
I liked how her voice was able to interpret the emotions of the characters.
I have already pre-ordered the sequel for my kindle...I hope audible will get it!
The narrator was a little high pitched with her voice at times. Took me longer than normal to get used to her voice.
I still enjoyed!
"Why Oh Why Don't I Preview it Before I Buy?"
This is one of my favorite eBooks, and I bought the book because the sequel gets released next week and I don't have time to re-read it before it's released. So the story is great, but the audio ruins it for me. I dislike the narrator immensely. If I had paid more that 2 bucks for this I'd be ranting right now, but I am so disappointed. I am literally 5 minutes in and want to scratched my eardrums out. I don't think I will be able to finish this one and that irks the hell out of me cuz I have 8 more hours of work!
I don't think they try to match the voice with the character in the book. This Dara Rosenberg would be better suited in a quirky comedy like the vampire Molly Harper cooks and not a contemporary romance.
anyone with a smoother voice. her raspy one annoyed me. I like Jill Redfield from the Crossfire novels or I like Grace Grant and Justine O'Keefe. Um, I'd even pick the lady who handed me my Egg McMuffin through the drive through this morning.
The story is the redeeming quality.
This is one of my favorite books, but the audio book is painful to listen to. I'm 10 minutes into it and I'm calling it over... I can't take anymore. They should have gotten the woman who did the "Thoughtless" series.
The book was fine, it was the voice of the narrator that was a problem.
Voice was harsh and annoying. I could not listen to it.
This was a total disappointment. I will not buy another.
"Good story but not great narrator"
The story was pretty good but the narrator not so much. Jack always sounded angry and some of the other men voices sounded like young girls. It really distracted from the book.
"Cute story but the narration is a touch immature"
The narrator has a great voice and does a good job of reading the story but there are just way too many times that she "over does it". Hoping it's a touch toned down for the next book or else I just can't listen!
In ranks in the upper-middle. Not close to the worst, but not quite the best.
Reminds me of a mix of Sosie Frost & Abbi Glines.
This is the first I have listened to of Dara Rosenberg's work. I am on the fence about it. The quality was fantastic, but there were certain times that the voice didn't match what I felt that character's persona came across as. For example, I imagine Cassie as beaten down by life, but not hardened, and sometimes the voicework came across as someone who was crass and bitter sounding. Not all of the time, but there were hints of it.
I would take Dean out to dinner. It seemed like he was the character that had a lot of insight. He seems like a people watcher type and sees through the cloud of crap that people stir up.
"The perfect love story"
Can't believe I had not heard of this book until now! If you love romance, this is a book for u!
"Loved Jack F'n Carter-didn't care for the narrator"
Passion, Happiness, Journey
Jack F'n Carter - enough said :-)
Honestly, I don't know - Cassie needs a certain level of enthusiasm and pep but I felt like I was being screamed at half the time (especially Jack) and it got a little annoying.
Once again....Jack F'n Carter
I read the book in 2012 and the core story and everything I loved about Cassie and Jack was still there but the delivery just made me cringe. I felt like the narrator was yelling half the book, it was just too over the top and excitedly dramatic ALL the time and I couldn't stand the way she did Jack's part. If I didn't love the characters and the story so much, I may not have finished the audio.
