With The Look of Love, best-selling author Bella Andre introduces you to a fun and emotional contemporary romance series about the Sullivan family. Because when a Sullivan bad boy falls...he falls hard. And it's forever.
Chloe Peterson is having a bad night. A really bad night. The large bruise on her cheek can attest to that. And when her car skids off the side of a wet country road straight into a ditch, she's convinced even the gorgeous guy who rescues her in the middle of the rain storm must be too good to be true. Or is he?
As a successful photographer who frequently travels around the world, Chase Sullivan has his pick of beautiful women, and whenever he's home in San Francisco, one of his seven siblings is usually up for causing a little fun trouble. Chase thinks his life is great just as it is-until the night he finds Chloe and her totaled car on the side of the road in Napa Valley. Not only has he never met anyone so lovely, both inside and out, but he quickly realizes she has much bigger problems than her damaged car. Soon, he is willing to move mountains to love-and protect-her, but will she let him?
Chloe vows never to make the mistake of trusting a man again. Only, with every loving look Chase gives her - and every sinfully sweet caress - as the attraction between them sparks and sizzles, she can't help but wonder if she's met the only exception. And although Chase didn't realize his life was going to change forever in an instant, amazingly, he isn't the least bit interested in fighting that change. Instead, he's gearing up for a different fight altogether - for Chloe's heart.
(NOTE: Explicit language, very steamy sex scenes...and lots of emotion!)

"The Look of Love is an emotionally compelling, thoroughly sexy, lovely read. I can't wait for more Sullivan brothers!" (Carly Phillips, New York Times Best-selling Author)
"The Look of Love is the perfect combination of sexy heat and tender heart. This character driven romance has brains, brawn and the perfect bad boy to launch a whole family's worth of fun." (Barbara Freethy, number one New York Times Best-selling Author)
"Pure sensual fun! I couldn't read fast enough. I loved everything about Chase and Chloe's story. I'm hooked on the Sullivans!" (Marie Force, Best-selling Author)
sweet but boring there is just no suspense boy got girl girl got boy from the get off so book was bland went on about same stuff to cover the page.I will not be trying the other 6.
"Short & Sweet!"
Great start to sweet & fun series! This was a good "fluffy" kind of read, with a lot of steam too! The characters were very likable. The Narrator was ok, not my favorite but good enough to make me finish this in one sitting. Worth the credit if you like a sweet romance.
"Outstanding feel good novel"
I loved this first book. One thing that bugged me was the compressed time-frame. Everything happens in one week's time. That brings you close to the line of unbelievable. Other than that, all of the other events hang together. Another disappointing aspect was Andre didn't introduce us to many of the character in the Sullivan family -- only one of the eight, and then only because the next book is about him. I would have preferred character development around the main characters that help cement the follow-on novels.
Taking into account the above, I still like this novel very much. Dialog was great and the villain hate-able. Andre did fill out her main character well and made you care about their choices. Kaminsky's narrative is excellent -- just the right cadence and intonation.
You get sucked into the novel and find yourself buzzing through it. Once done you say, "well, let me download the series." I give this first novel in the series a thumbs up.
"Great find! Romantic, Sweet with serious Heat!"
I just get so excited when I find a new author. Bella Andre is a wonderful new find. I am so hooked on this series now. It's Hot, Hot, Hot. Not to mention Chase is so sweet and caring. He has 5 other brothers and two sisters. I can't wait to meet all of them. (Smile) I see more books in the future. Did I say I have down loaded book two already. This had everything I like in a good romance novel. A good story line, great characters, sexual tension with some Heat and to top it off a great narrator.
"A total cheese fest..."
I got this book because of the many great reviews it had but I was so disappointed. Poorly developed romance. I believe in love at first sight but these two barely spoke (just had lots of sex) and in 48 hours were madly in love, saying I love you and considering marriage and babies. Oh please!!! And Chase was an unrealistic mAle. He spoke like a 13 year old boy with his first crush. One more time I would hear the word lovely in the story and I would burn my IPhone (not really but I imagined it). Way too cheesy!!!
Narrator: Eva Kaminsky is a reader not really a narrator. A narrator is supposed to add emotions and intensity to a story. But she just read the story aloud. Barely any difference in tone between characters and she sounded kind of young. She would be better as a YA narrator. The reader made a relatively short short drag like a never ending book. I had to speed up the voice so that I could finish it.
Be warned: only get this book if you like really cheesy, unrealistic but hot Harlequin type stories that are predictable from the beggining.
"What a flaming disappointment!"
I LOVE romance; it's my favorite genre. I'm a voracious reader. I had high expectations for this book (and series)....and found it to be a significant let down. Pacing dragged. Percentage of pages devoted solely to sexual encounters between hero and heroine was excessive. The final "big disaster" was desperately rushed such that it fell flat.
Much of the disappointment is because of choice of narrator-- nasal intonations came and went (dissolving my patience), emotion lacked, male voices grated, and it simply wasn't a good fit with the book.
The book did have strengths: setting, sensory details were rich, lovable hero (even if his motivations were weak upon occasion).
I'll probably try one of Andre's newer Sullivan books, as I wanted so much to love this first in the series.
A plot that wasn't so predictable. 75% of the story the main characters were haviing sex here there and everywhere.
The sex scenes just got boring and nauseous.
No - too breathy.
The descriptions of the Sullivan family.
"A cottoncandy listen, very sweet but yummy"
I hadn't heard of this author before so I took a chance and I'm so glad I did. If you're in the mood for an easygoing light listen - handsome guy meets a damsel in distress then sets about rescuing her but falls in love with her instead then this is your kinda book.
Worth a credit? Yes it was entertaining and I'm off to listen to book 2.
"this makes ya wanna......"
I knight in shining armor is every or most girls dream. There is actually people like this just everyone is wondering where they are!
I don't know
When Marcus held the baby for the lady to take pictures.
Worth the credit and more. It is nice to have a feel good story that doesn't spend half the book with bad attitudes or something bad happening. I like stories like this every once in awhile.
"Loved this book!"
I loved this so much that I had to continue reading the series. I can't wait for the 3rd book to come out so I can find out what happens! The narration was great and spot on!
"A bit predictable but still likeable"
I got the first two in this series on sale a few months ago and just got the chance to listen to them. This first book is an light listen that leaves you smiling. If you enjoy love at first sight books with a little heat then you will probably enjoy this one. I did, however, find a few parts a little unrealistic and a bit predictable but it didn't take away the likeability. I've already listened to book two and will probably listen to the remaining if they go on sale.
