A man at war with himself
In all her years as deputy sheriff, Shelby Kincaid never met a man as stubborn as Dakota Carson. Practically eaten by a grizzly bear and still that man insists on returning, alone, to his isolated cabin in the Tetons. Shelby's not even sure why it ruffles her - but she suspects it has a lot to do with the instant, powerful connection she feels with Dakota. If only he'd let down his guard with her....
Ten years as a Navy SEAL took its toll on Dakota's body, his mind and his heart. Since being released, he's endured months of painful physical therapy...and brutal nightmares. Dakota wants nothing more than to hide from the world, so why does Shelby's gentle presence suddenly make him question his seclusion? But when Shelby's life is threatened, Dakota knows his warrior spirit won't hide any longer. He just hopes it's not too late....

better story better characters better narration
no unless the deep breathy baritone was chosen specific to make it sound like a joke - ever watched Aeroplane the take off of disaster movies - this is the fiction equivalent. Every cliche is in this
all of them!!!!including the many bears that attacked them and they killed - mountains must be full of dead rotting bear carcasses
Cant believe I listened to this - he kept saying- when I was a seal - seal training, - seals are my brothers........I get it you were a seal !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So cross with myself for getting this - I kept listening cos I kept thinking it wasnt as bad as I thought so i kept trying - in fact at first I thought it was meant to be a funny take off but its not!!! I feel so cheated
"Favorite so far"
This was my favorite of the series so far. I have a little of a problem with the narrator....not enough that I couldn't stay with the story.
