Episode 2: After her dismissal from The Ladies' Delight, Denise is determined to stay in Paris. She rents a room above old Bourras' umbrella shop and quickly sets about trying to find other work. With local shops closing as The Delight expands, the task proves more difficult than she imagined.

I am a big fan of the BBC drama The Paradise and wanted to find out the roots of the story, however even though I expected vast differences in the tale, it was for me the over dramatisation and sound that distracted from the story. I seemed to rush through the plot and I was left feeling was that it, strange ending!
Yes, for all Paradise Fans, however I would prefer to have heard Emille Zolas words in audio rather than a dramatisation of his work.
After watching the PBS drama and reading the book I couldn't wait to hear the audiobook version. The audiobook was a perfect blend of the drama and the novel.
The actor's voices brought to life the story and romance that I hooked me in the first place. I'll definitely be hearing this audiobook again!!
I would recommend it to a friend because it follows the pbs masterpiece show.
The narration was a bit hard to follow.
Hard to follow.

Good story, short and sweet.
