And as the needles clack, and the garments grow, the conversation moves on from patterns and yarn to life, love and everything. They may be different ages, from different backgrounds and facing different problems, but they are drawn together by threads of affection that prove as durable as the sweaters they knit.

This is the most lovely, heartwarming, funny and inspiring tale that I have listened to in ages. You don't have to be into knitting to love the book although it inspired me to take it up again (in a fashion - just some groovy wool in the sale to make a scarf) after having been taught how to knit by my dearly beloved and now sadly departed Gran.
I didn't want this book to end and now I am searching Audible for something equally as good.
Definitely worth a listen
I 'read' this book months and months ago and it is still in my head. Brilliant book by a brilliant writer. A must read!
A lovely and peaceful book with rich interwoven characters that you just can't help loving. Made me laugh and cry. The wisdom of knitting and life rolled into one.
if you love the art of knitting and a good story this one is for you. this audiobook will keep you captivated until the very end.
Because I wanted to knit whilst listening to it, yes!
Georgia, so strong, kind and forgiving.
Loved this book so much, listening to it was like having a warm hug
I read this book a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it this unabridged recording proved to be the icing on the cake
Regina Reagan does a fine job of narrating this novel that draws the listener in to a warm and disparate group of unlikely friends
It was a real pleasure to listen to maybe some clacking knitting needles in the background would have been an interesting addition
I can thoroughly recommend this title so give it a go :)
the story was great and the characters enjoyable to learn about
she brings the story to life and really animates the characters lives and individual stories
yes but unfortunately i couldn't
Yes I would. Gripping, poignant, happy and sad, just like life.

There were so many things that touched my own life in ways I could never express myself.
I cried a lot and I laughed out loud many times.
I'm not a good reader but I couldn't turn this off been walking around with headphones for days, crying and laughing out loud in public.
being edited to eliminate the repetition of Georgia's circumstances as well as the constant references to knitting.
got a different narrator.
