Kate had it all: the glamorous career in London, the lovely house, the gorgeous husband. But now she's back in Lyme Regis: unemployed, separated, and forced to share her dead granny's bungalow with Ben, the clueless and domestically challenged fiancé of her bossy sister, Prue. Kate decides to secretly train Ben as a selfless pre-wedding gift to her sister. But Kate still has a few lessons of her own to learn....

The story was much better than the title or blurb would lead you to believe, with more meat to it, it was not a "jolly" chiclit story but something deeper and sadder. I found some of the jumps from the present to the past a bit confusing and though I liked the ending (unlike some other reviewers) I felt that it was dragged out too long and I was beginning to lose sympathy with the heroine, Kate.
I have read and enjoyed other books by Pippa Wright
The narrator did a good job but I don't think that reading the book would have made any difference to the way I felt about it.
