From the author of the Amazon number-one best-selling novel The Air He Breathes comes the next book in the Elements series.
There once was a boy, and I loved him.
Logan Francis Silverstone and I were complete opposites. I danced, and he stood still. He was quiet while I ran my mouth. He struggled to find a smile, and I refused to frown.
The night I saw the darkness that truly lived inside of him, I couldn't look away.
We were broken together yet somehow whole. We were wrong together but always right. We were the stars that burned across the night sky, searching for a wish, praying for better tomorrows.
Until the day I lost him. He threw us away with one hasty decision - a decision that changed us forever.
There once was a boy, and I loved him.
And for a few breaths, a few whispers, a few moments, I think he loved me, too.

"LOVED THIS BOOK"
This book was dark and sad in some parts but it is wrapped up pretty good. Proof of what true love can be or just really good writing. I loved it.
"Unquestionably One of my Favorites"

The Fire Between High and Lo is the second book in the Elements series by Brittainy C. Cherry. I listened to the Audible audiobook told by narrators Graham Halstead and Emily Woo Zeller. I was absolutely captivated by this stunningly beautiful story. I found myself shutting out the outside world and feeling a part of Logan and Alyssa’s story.
The story line is full of love, pain, anger, frustration, passion, sadness, and so much more!
It is perfectly paced and unquestionably one of my favorites!
I rank it very high. It made you want to listen and not stop listening
Beginning to the end.
Yes, the love they had for each.
this book can be very dark, but, yet it had a good twist.
"5 Very Bright & Beautiful Stars!"
Amazing and would earn 10 stars if it was allowed, loved it so much listened twice in a row! If you don't listen to another this year don't miss this one! Touching, beautifully written, fantastic performance, amazing!
This audiobook story was about a boy and a girl from different walks of life who fell in love. Because of their differences and a terrible loss, the boy leaves and doesn't return for 5 years. Their relationship is very complex and the story well performed by the narrators. Lovely ending!
"5 The Fire Between High & Lo Stars"
Brittainy has done it again, I am utterly astonished at how she can make me feel so much for these characters.
Not once did I think I could like a character more, but then she makes you love that character more.
Logan has not had an easy life and his adult one isn't starting of any easier, but I think it was the struggle that really makes him become the MAN he has.
Alyssa, what can I say about her. Ok so I might have a different way of looking at her. The way she meet Logan I didn't think she felt sorry for him in the way omg this guy can’t afford food. Just for the fact that he has to be the one to get the food to provide. I think that is one of the reason they connected, she never felt sorry for him but for his circumstance.
I love how they are totally different but kind of the same and that this friendship grows in to so very much more. I can’t explain how Brittainy can do this, but she makes a great story kinda sorta beautiful.
I very much enjoyed the narrators for this book, the male narrators gritty tones were just how I would picture Logan in my head. Love it.
Very much recommend this book.
*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*
"Love This Author"
I've read two book now by this author and I love her style of writing. I feel so connected to the characters and the stories are wonderful.
"Beautiful story of true love"
Definitely on my favorite list of a touching tear jerking story with a HEA. I would Highly recommend this book.
"Good Story...Bearable narration."
This was a good story. A little predictable and cheesy but a nice simple listen. However, the female narrator was way over the topic dramatic in sections making me almost stop listening several times.
"Listening to this book was as awful as it gets."
I tried as best I could to get through this book, but was only able to make it to the half-way point before I decided to throw in the towel. In short, the writing needs improvement and the story itself is very weak.
It is worth noting that of the fifty or so books I have listened to on Audible, this is my first negative review.
