Publisher's Summary

They were the chosen ones - and the ones who chose to be the best. Never before had the United States given so select a group of fighting men such punishing preparation. Now they were heading for their ultimate test of skill and nerve and sacrifice, in a war unlike any they or their country had ever fought before, in a land that most of America still knew nothing about - Vietnam...

    "Griffin at his best"

Brotherhood of War is the series that introduced me to WEB Griffin. All of these characters are like old friends. I was so excited when I saw that the series was being offered by Audible.

    "Soap opera for men"

I have really enjoyed this series by W. E. B. Griffin. The character development is great and the narrator, Eric G Dove is very good. This entire series has been like a soap opera for men. I find myself getting attached to some characters and not liking others. There is plenty of military action but there is also some of the day to day stuff that happens in life. The descriptions of the day to day life in the military is very accurate and the details are spot on. The narrator gets most of his terminology right and keeps his characters in their unique style of voice throughout the series. If you're a military history buff or just looking for a good series to start give this one a try.

    "Amazing Lowell"

I just can't put these books down. They just keep coming up on my ipod. I like the Lowell character best: he's filthy rich but is engaged by work in the Army. Confined to staff puke work, he continues to amaze, then punches the pooch. On to book #6, The Generals.

    "Brotherhood Extraordinaire"

It took me a little longer to be totally hooked on Griffin's Brotherhood of War series especially after reading his spectacular Corps & Presidential Agent series initially BUT that being said by Book 4 I was totally hooked. I read a few other types of books between book 3 & 4 and discovered within the first few minutes of Book 4 that there are very few authors like Griffin out there who grab your interest and write so elegantly about the victories and failures of events and people.

This is at least the third book of this series that left me with tears of gladness with a pinch of sadness at the end of the book.

I wholeheartedly recommend this series as well as any other writings of W.E.B Griffin. I am also a big fan of the fabulous narration by Eric G. Dove.

    "MUCH better than the Colonels"

Not as good as Griffin can be, but better than the Colonels that I really disliked. I won't buy another in the series, but if I hadn't read the Colonels, I might have.

    "A continueing saga"

So far Griffen has written 43 books about the military divided into 6 segments of 7 to ten books each. The book were written from1982 to 2012. He spends way too much time bringing readers up to date on previous books. If you are a pilot or air traffic controller please do not throw your listening device on the floor and stomp it. Phraesology is the worst ever. He needs helpers in this area.
