Daisy Honey fled Trusty, Colorado, after years of battling rumors sparked by her gorgeous looks and lust-inducing name. Now a physician on the brink of a promising career, she reluctantly returns home when her father is injured in a farming accident. Daisy expects the small-town girls who hurt her in the past to take cheap shots again - but she's completely unprepared for a run-in with tall, dark, and wickedly sexy Luke Braden, the only man who has ever stood up for her - and the man she's never forgotten.
Luke Braden is handsome, wealthy, and the best damn gypsy horse breeder in the Midwest. After a restless youth, he's finally ready to settle down - only connecting with women is nothing like connecting with horses, and he's never met a woman worth the energy. After an arrest in a neighboring town, Luke's past comes back to haunt him, and he realizes that his inability to find love runs deeper than he ever imagined.
A chance encounter sweeps Luke and Daisy into a world of passion. For the first time ever, Luke feels a connection, but Daisy's life in Trusty is anything but permanent, and Luke can't manage a future until he puts his past to rest.
Taken by Love is part of the Love in Bloom series. While it can be heard as a stand-alone novel, for even more enjoyment, you may want to listen to the entire Love in Bloom series in order. Characters from each sub-series appear in future books.

"I need more"
Now I have to read all the other books. The narrator pulls you into the story with ease. I kinda like how the suspense of the story was emotional. You really work through the past problems with daisy and Luke. I smiled through the whole book.
"Worth a read"
Such a lovely love story about two people who've known each other for ages, went their own ways for a time and then met up again and after a while they realize that they are in fact in love with each other. There are a few ups and downs in their environment while they decide how they can make a life together and they eventually sort themselves out.
This was one of those books that is beautifully written, holds ones interest and I just hated that it ended, but there are others in this series so YAY!
The narration of this audiobook is superb. Such a beautiful voice.
"Sweet and Sexy"
I liked this book. the story was sweet and homey. there wasn't any bullshit angst or drama. it was just a story of two people falling i love and trying to figure out their futures. I wanted something light and I got exactly what i wanted. While there are many books in the series before this one the book can be read as a stand alone. I wasn't lost at all even with other family members being mentioned. Hi-5 to Melissa Foster!!
Narrator 3.5 his slight southern drawl was NICE!
"Great journey through a budding romance"
Very enjoyable and easy to follow while I was working in the gardens. The story line was wonderful and classy romantic with a twist of slight ecstasy.
"Fun and Sassy Romance"
Since I hadn't read this title in print I can't answer this question, however I purchased it because it sounded like it might be a light-hearted romance that would be fun to listen to at work and it completely exceeded my expectations. I really enjoyed the story line and am not looking into more of the series.
I loved so many things about the story. I was looking for something fun and I found it.
There is a scene in the book where the community comes together to run a clinic. I loved the whole thing.
"Love Will Find You When You Least Expect It"
The romance of course, but the strength of the two main characters who each had real life issues to face and deal with. Their willingness to help each other overcome them made it easy to see why they fell in love with each other.
Luke Braden was an amazing man who possessed wonderful traits. He was so protective of those in need, kind, patient and loving with his horses, loyal to friends and family and selfless when it came to loving Daisy. Add to that his masculine good looks and he was swoon worthy.
This was my very first, but won't be my last.
I usually get swept along with Melissa Foster's characters.I found the sibling banter amusing, the love scenes steamy and the romance sweet. The real life issues the characters faced (bullying, abandonment, chemical dependency, letting go of the past) did affect me emotionally.
This is more than just a love story. It's about character's growth as they endure and push forward helping each other and finding their own HEA along the way. A highly enjpyable experience.
"Loved both the book and the Audible"
Taken by love is the first book in the Trusty, CO Braden series. Daisy left Trusty after high school because of the small town gossip that wasn't always correct. She came back because her father was injured and connected with Luke Braden. Their chemistry was immediate and all consuming, but she's not sure she can stay after the way she was treated when she was younger. As their relationship deepens she begins to see that she was seeing things incorrectly.
This was my first Audible and I really enjoyed it. The narrator had a pleasant voice and his voice inflection was just right.
"Small town love"
I liked the quality of the narrator's voice.
Luke Braden was deifinitely my favorite character... tough and brawny on the outside.. soft and sweet on the inside.
B.J. did a great job on the narration. He spoke clearly and his voice was well modulated.
I enjoyed the book and could listen to it all at once but chose to listen in increments on my drive to and from work each day.
I read this book as well as listened to the audio version. The narration was well done and the narrator’s voice was pleasant to listen to. The only issue I had was when he used a contrived Southern drawl when speaking as peripheral characters in the story. It seemed out of place and almost made the characters seem like country bumpkins. All in all I would give this book a 5 star rating.
THIS WAS PROBABLY MY FAVORITE AUDIBLE.
GOT A LITTLE ANNOYING WHEN THE READER WAS TRYING TO EMULATE FEMALES WITH AN ACCENT
WHEN SHE REALIZED THAT SHE WAS HOME RIGHT WHERE SHE WAS
ANNOYING AT TIMES
THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME
THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE BOOKS BY MELISSA, I ENJOYED LISTENING WHILE I WAS TRAVELING
"I Recommend the Book and the Audible"
The narrator made a wonderful book even better, which then made my trips back and forth to work 10 times better.
Luke is my favorite. I love a sexy man, that his family is very important to him. I also really liked how he was with his girls, his horses. Then, some of fhe things he would say, would make me shiver.
I thought that it would be difficult to know who was saying what, but not with this narrator. He used different voices for the different characters. I also liked how the characters' emotions came out in his voice.
You can't go home again, or can you?
