Publisher's Summary

Daisy Honey fled Trusty, Colorado, after years of battling rumors sparked by her gorgeous looks and lust-inducing name. Now a physician on the brink of a promising career, she reluctantly returns home when her father is injured in a farming accident. Daisy expects the small-town girls who hurt her in the past to take cheap shots again - but she's completely unprepared for a run-in with tall, dark, and wickedly sexy Luke Braden, the only man who has ever stood up for her - and the man she's never forgotten.

Luke Braden is handsome, wealthy, and the best damn gypsy horse breeder in the Midwest. After a restless youth, he's finally ready to settle down - only connecting with women is nothing like connecting with horses, and he's never met a woman worth the energy. After an arrest in a neighboring town, Luke's past comes back to haunt him, and he realizes that his inability to find love runs deeper than he ever imagined.

A chance encounter sweeps Luke and Daisy into a world of passion. For the first time ever, Luke feels a connection, but Daisy's life in Trusty is anything but permanent, and Luke can't manage a future until he puts his past to rest.

Taken by Love is part of the Love in Bloom series. While it can be heard as a stand-alone novel, for even more enjoyment, you may want to listen to the entire Love in Bloom series in order. Characters from each sub-series appear in future books.

    "Sweet and Sexy"

I liked this book. the story was sweet and homey. there wasn't any bullshit angst or drama. it was just a story of two people falling i love and trying to figure out their futures. I wanted something light and I got exactly what i wanted. While there are many books in the series before this one the book can be read as a stand alone. I wasn't lost at all even with other family members being mentioned. Hi-5 to Melissa Foster!!

    "I need more"

Now I have to read all the other books. The narrator pulls you into the story with ease. I kinda like how the suspense of the story was emotional. You really work through the past problems with daisy and Luke. I smiled through the whole book.

    "Worth a read"

Such a lovely love story about two people who've known each other for ages, went their own ways for a time and then met up again and after a while they realize that they are in fact in love with each other. There are a few ups and downs in their environment while they decide how they can make a life together and they eventually sort themselves out.
This was one of those books that is beautifully written, holds ones interest and I just hated that it ended, but there are others in this series so YAY!
The narration of this audiobook is superb. Such a beautiful voice.

    "Fun and Sassy Romance"
Would you consider the audio edition of Taken by Love to be better than the print version?

Since I hadn't read this title in print I can't answer this question, however I purchased it because it sounded like it might be a light-hearted romance that would be fun to listen to at work and it completely exceeded my expectations. I really enjoyed the story line and am not looking into more of the series.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved so many things about the story. I was looking for something fun and I found it.

    Which scene was your favorite?

There is a scene in the book where the community comes together to run a clinic. I loved the whole thing.

    "Another great book!"

I have enjoyed all of the books in the Love in Bloom series and this one is no different than the rest. I enjoyed the characters Luke and Daisy as they work through their issues and find love in one another. I also enjoyed the importance of community and family that was emphasized throughout this book. I felt that the plot moved along well, flowing and not being rush. I continued to enjoy the narrator, BJ Harrison as he continues to narrate this series making the listening of the story enjoyable. He does well with the different characters whether they were return characters from previous books in the series or if they were new characters making them fun to listen to. The narration was smooth and enjoyable from beginning to end. I would recommend this book to others.

    "My traffic jam savior"

Another fabulously five star read book by BJ Harrison. Taken by love=happy time. He is really great at narrating Melissa Fosters books. The way his changes his voice for each person is fantastic. I fall more and more in love with his voice every time I listen to a new book. Melissa picked a great one for her books. I guess it's no surprise since she writes a fantastic book. Let's just say Luke and Daisy are a cute couple and I look forward to hearing BJ read more about them and the rest of Melissa Fosters books. So thank you both for giving me something to listen to while I set in traffic everyday.

    "super sexy"

BJ Harrison did a great job with the narration. Taken By Love was a great book. Melissa Foster did another amazing job. This is the first book in the Braden's of Trusty Colorado. It is about Luke Braden and Daisy Honey. I highly recommend it.

    Story
"Love Will Find You When You Least Expect It"
What did you love best about Taken by Love?

The romance of course, but the strength of the two main characters who each had real life issues to face and deal with. Their willingness to help each other overcome them made it easy to see why they fell in love with each other.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Luke Braden was an amazing man who possessed wonderful traits. He was so protective of those in need, kind, patient and loving with his horses, loyal to friends and family and selfless when it came to loving Daisy. Add to that his masculine good looks and he was swoon worthy.

Have you listened to any of B.J. Harrison’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This was my very first, but won't be my last.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I usually get swept along with Melissa Foster's characters.I found the sibling banter amusing, the love scenes steamy and the romance sweet. The real life issues the characters faced (bullying, abandonment, chemical dependency, letting go of the past) did affect me emotionally.

    Any additional comments?

This is more than just a love story. It's about character's growth as they endure and push forward helping each other and finding their own HEA along the way. A highly enjpyable experience.

    Story
"Loved both the book and the Audible"

Taken by love is the first book in the Trusty, CO Braden series. Daisy left Trusty after high school because of the small town gossip that wasn't always correct. She came back because her father was injured and connected with Luke Braden. Their chemistry was immediate and all consuming, but she's not sure she can stay after the way she was treated when she was younger. As their relationship deepens she begins to see that she was seeing things incorrectly.

This was my first Audible and I really enjoyed it. The narrator had a pleasant voice and his voice inflection was just right.
