Six months ago, New York restaurant owner Alexis "Lexi" Moreau walked in on her husband, Jeff, and their sous chef mixing business with pleasure. Now, Lexi is back in her hometown of St. Helena, California, rebuilding her life and hoping to turn her grandmother's patisserie into the bistro of her dreams. All she needs is luck, lots of hard work, and a way to avoid the 30 blind dates her matchmaking grandmother arranged.
Enter Marco DeLuca - Jeff's handsome, commitment-phobe best friend who has always had his sights set on Lexi. In high school, Marco convinced himself that Lexi was off-limits. And she still is, especially since Marco's family's wine business all depends on a deal with Jeff. But a fake summer romance is the perfect way for Lexi to distract the would-be suitors her grandmother has set up for her. A perfect way for Marco to realize she's the only one that ever mattered. And a perfect way to fall deliciously in love.

Love this series read if you love romance that makes you smile!!
great story, funny, sweet and yummy food too
"Cute Love Story but narrating not so good!"
No, the story was cute.
I felt sorry for Lexi, everything was taken away from her.
Yes, the narrator voice was awful. The men sounded too old.
I bought this book purely because it was on sale but I think I will look for this author again because it was a very quick easy read that was enjoyable.
I purchased both the book and the whisper sync audio for this one. I like series when each book stands alone. I love the story, the characters, the ending and the audio narrator. Checking out more books in this series.
A great romance!
I really enjoyed her narrative.
"A sudden urge to have cream puffs!"
Marco and Lexi's story is pretty good! I enjoyed this book and getting to know the rest of the characters. Love the Granny's! They are a hoot!
"Why Napa? It took place in St Helena."
At times I was really confused as to what the story line was trying to say? Maybe will figure it out on a return read. There were some really sweet moments that made up for my sometimes confusion. Also a couple off right out loud laughs. Would I listen to it again? Yes.
All of the moments that included the dog were memorable. Loved Wing Man.
The final scene was my favorite, but I don't want to give it away.
I was particularly moved by the confrontation toward the end when they were in the bakery.
I enjoyed this book enough to check out what else Audible had by this author.
