"Story is good, but the narrator isn't"
The narrator needs work on his voices. Every male character in the book sound the same, and the women sound horrible.
Is it possible to get a woman narrator?
The voices are horrible, and really takes away from the book
Not at all, but I would rather read the book than listen to the voices.
He isn't good with women's voices, and all of the women sound horrible.
All of the men have the same sound and country twang. It's not a suave sounding person.
disappointment --- I was hoping it would get better. The stories are fine, but the narration is awful.
I am not sure who chooses the narrators, but all of the Brenda Jackson books needs another narrator that can do more voices.
"Untamed under cover"
This was really good. I'm going to continue to read all her books in this series. Truly an eye opener when it comes to men. They truly love hard even when they fight their enter feelings, emotional hangups and pass history of heartaches.
"Left me wanting more"
love the story, but the guy reading it has an annoying, nasal, whining voice when he tries to sound like a woman. I kept cringing. Otherwise, he's pretty good.
Both stories were great and let me wanting more. I will definitely check out the series!
"LOVED BOTH BOOKS "
I don't know how any one could not love the narrator Sean Crisden. Yes some of his female voices aren't so feminine, but really... He Is A Man. You have to use your imagination as well he can't do all the work for you, heck he read the book to you.
It was refreshing to hear two books for the price of one. i love Brenda Jackson's books.
"Feeling some kinda way"
When I was searching for my newest read, I came across this. I was thinking that I'd probably enjoy this purchase. Can't lose with the two in one here. However, both stories were the "typical" Jackson storyline. Don't get me wrong, I liked the stories but it seemed that I'd heard them before, especially the Bachelor Untamed. So much so that I looked through My library to find it. I hadn't read it. It just seemed like it due to the similarities.
Now for the narrator: He was great to read for men, but his female impersonations were horrible. He sounds creepy as a woman. I thought El was a strong woman. However, this narration made it seemed as if she was Weakling.
I recommend this title. Just keep in mind, it's predictable.
