New York Times best-selling author RaeAnne Thayne welcomes you to Haven Point, a small town full of big surprises that are both merry and bright. Nothing short of a miracle can restore Eliza Hayward's Christmas cheer. The job she pinned her dreams on has gone up in smoke - literally - and now she's stuck in an unfamiliar, if breathtaking, small town. Precariously close to being destitute, Eliza needs a hero, but she's not expecting one who almost runs her down with his car! Rescuing Eliza is pure instinct for tech genius Aidan Caine. At first, putting the renovation of his lakeside guest lodge in Eliza's hands assuages his guilt - until he sees how quickly he could fall for her. Having focused solely on his business for years, he never knew what his life was missing before Eliza, but now he's willing to risk his heart on a yuletide romance that could lead to forever.

"It Was Okay. I'll Try One More"
The story was enjoyable. There is little conflict to overcome. But the problem I had with this was the narration. It was horrible. Bad accents, and she made the lead male character sound like a simp. And a lot of the prose she read with "up talk" raising the last word or two of a sentence as if it was a question. I will also add that audio books with child characters are not great for listening.. Dialog from a child in a written work is one thing but listening to their child-like whiney voices is brutal. I'll try one more if I can find a different narrator.
"Narrator ruined it for me"
I tried to listen to it, but didn't make it far before the narrator got to be too annoying and I shut it off. Luckily I have the ebook, so I'll be able to finish the story, but I will be steering clear of this narrator in the future.
A bit long winded but enjoyable. Narrator didn't bother me as much as the other reviewers, but Aiden's voice was awful. This book was just so-so for me.
A six year old.
Her voices were HORRIBLE. The child in the book was annoying. She mixed the voices up. It was just awful.
The author repeats the same thing over and over. She has the Hero talking about how cute the Heroin's daughter is, ad nauseam ....there was nothing masculine about the hero. The characters have no depth. It was actually annoying to listen to.
"raeanne thayne books"
Love her books read all the series and hope for more to come out soon
"Glad it was my free trial book"
He book started off good but never went anywhere. I that it would have a little more drama/ substance in it. Author painted a nice picture but I got bored quick. I also didn't like the diction the author chose to use. To formal and not how the average person would talk.
The didn't care for the narrator either. It was hard to get a flow of the book I felt. I've heard many audiobook and this by far is my least favorite all the way around. 😒
Nice, heartwarming Christmas romance. Loved the Irish brogue on the father and the dynamics of the family.
The narrator is not good, but she isn't horrible. I could listen, at least. I found the daughter annoying, although the story kept talking about her like she was super lovable. The love story is good.
"Very sweet, well written romance!"
One of the best!
It's a simple story, easy to listen to without feeling like somebody is in peril at any given second but still keeps you listening and makes you want to get back to it if you have to turn it off.
Maddy! I just love that little girl! Of course Eliza is a strong Character and the narrator does an excellent job with her character.
Love and Secrets….
Sweet romance with a great family story of triumph over struggle. Definately worth the listen!
"Narrator is awefull"
I Love RaeAnn's books. because of the narrator I can't even listen to this one long enough to get into the story guess this one I'll have to read in text
