"Ms. Pilcher knows all the aspects of the human spirit, how it behaves in joy and sorrow." (Marilyn Harris, author of American Eden)
The stuffy Rodney(Selina's fiance) tells Selina not to wake a Sleeping Tiger, hence the title of the book, so she goes off to Spain for an adventure all by herself. It turns first into a fiasco and then into a life changing event for her...As once awoken the Sleeping Tiger turns out to have a delightful twist in its tail!
Being abridged this story is only a bite size version to whet your appetite, so, although I love this story, it only gets three stars and it would have been much better if it had been the complete meal!
I really enjoyed this book because it kept me guessing (and hoping!) and I was not disappointed by the ending. It was also brilliantly read.
"Delightful story and excellent narration"
Well, no because this is an abridged version.
She reads splendidly and made an enjoyable story even more enjoyable.
You simply cannot go wrong with anything by Rosamunde Pilcher. Excellent writing with interesting characters and a well thought out story line.
