From NY Times and USA Today best-selling author, Jana DeLeon, the third book in the Ghost-in-Law mystery/romance series.
Family can be the death of you...
Who killed Helena Henry? The shorter list may be who didn't want her dead. Psychic Raissa Bordeaux thought she'd left her former life behind, hidden away in her eclectic shop in the French Quarter. But when a child is kidnapped and Helena Henry appears, Raissa risks her true identity by offering the police help with the case. New Orleans Detective Zach Blanchard doesn't believe in psychic hooey and is certain Raissa didn't get her facts about the case from a crystal ball. He suspects her of something besides being the most intriguing and attractive woman he's ever come across. But when Raissa's secrets put her in danger, can Zach convince her to trust him with the truth before it's too late?

The whole book was enjoyable. I have recently discovered this series and am now making my way through them all. The characters are funny and interesting.
The incident with the hot dogs was very funny and I found myself laughing out loud which is not good if you are listening on your iPod in a public space.
Oh definitely Helena
It made me laugh in so many places but it also has its sad moments too
you can judge my satisfaction with this book and indeed the whole series by the fact that I have bought the first four books in this series and will buy the rest in the very near future
I am still loving this series! This is the third book and this time we get to be front row for Raissa's HEA. I was ready for this after the mystery about her in the end of the last book.
Turns out Raissa is all kinds of awesome!! I am talking seriously cool hacker super spy type fantastic! I think she is my fav heroine so far in the series!
Zach is her match as a yummy detective. Love their banter!! Raissa is a very naughty girl, in all the most fun ways! I had a great time reading their dynamic relationship!
This is a mixed narrative, so you get both the leads POV alternately. There are also bits from the supporting cast and the bad guy.
This is different from most cozy mysteries, it has a large romance quotient and that bedroom door is wide open! Not as much detail as an erotic read, but far from squeaky clean.
The mystery has many levels, it is so strange how everything is so connected. But it is a cozy, so you go with it.
I listened to the audiobook narrated by Johanna Parker, who has a wonderful read. She keeps the southern accents light, for the most part. I love the swift pace to her read and the energy she brings to the words. All the voices have been distinct and were consistent throughout the book. She has been a delight throughout the series!
I was a little upset that Hank does not get his own HEA book, but rather a side romance in this book. Boo, he has worked hard to redeem himself and deserved at least a novella.

"more Helena less other stuff"
yes i love Johanna Parker
typical happy ever after
yes new comers
I wish they had more Helena in the books she is the reason I keep going back she's a hoot. but they only throw her in once in awhile now!
"Love this series"
Great storyline. Finally know Helena's background. Mystery, twists and lots of laughter. The narrator is fabulous . I did not want this book to end and cried at end.
"it was fun a lot like a cozy mystery"
except for one sex scene this would have made a great cozy mystery. Luckily I could fast forward in about 3 minutes past the graphic sex scenes. silly story but cute.
I really enjoy these mysteries...they are solid mysteries well thought out...the story just happens to include a ghost. It was wonderful to listen to & I truly recommend it!
More depth and a different narrator
I listened to this because I like Johanna Parker's reading of the Sookie Stackhouse books so much. But, these were a big disappointment.
I am enjoying the series as the story line is filled with details and depth that keeps the listener/reader interested and invested in the outcome. I am from west central Louisiana and went to college in Lafayette so I almost feel closer to the story.
I just love the description of Helena's wardrobe and her food binges. The sense of humor has me cracking up here at work.
She just has a great talent in producing all of those different voices and carries the story along at a comfortable speed and gives each character a great human touch.
I don't know but a film or television series would be great!
The first series where I just had to buy all of the books! I had to know who it all ends. Thank God for the sale pricing or I'd be broke!
Just could not finish this book. Listened to first two books, but this one is just too unbelievable.
A cute and enjoyable southern cozy mystery. Helena is a hoot. Everyone should have a ghost like her around just for the laughs.
"Very fun book"
The thought of reading a book about a ghost that is helping solve a mystery and save the life of those that can see her to me is hilarious. This whole series was a fun entertaining read that if you do not have a good series to read this summer on the beach I highly recommend this it's very fun lighthearted and keeps your interest and kept me laughing..
