Dumped? For her husband's high school sweetheart he hasn't seen in twenty years? Roberta Jones Spivey isn't going to lay down for that. Instead, she reinvents herself and the new Bobbie Jones - new haircut, new name, new attitude - follows her soon-to-be ex to the small Northern California town of Cottonmouth.
What better way to show him - and his sweetheart - what he's missing in the brand new Bobbie Jones than taking up with the town's local bad boy - who's also reputed to be a serial killer. Nick Angel is devilishly handsome and sexy as all get-out. In a word, perfect.
It's all going exactly according to plan... until a real murder rocks the little town of Cottonmouth. Of course, Nick didn't do it... did he?
She's Gotta Be Mine, previously published as Sex and the Serial Killer, is a contemporary romance.

Obsessive reader of at least 5 kindle books a week. Only use audiobooks to survive my daily 90 minute walk to work.
I have to admit that I had already read this book before I purchased the audio version so I was not surprised that I enjoyed it.
I do like an older couple - these two were late thirties/forty and I do like it when love develops slowly even if the lust is instant. It feels more real and is more believable.
The h was in a bit of a rut in her personal and business life and was forced to re-evaluate things when her husband dumps her for his high school girlfriend. I liked the way her character kept developing and growing as she deliberately stirred things up in the small town her husband had moved to. And I like the way her stirring involved going after the town's "bad boy", even if the "bad boy" was a bit reluctant at first! Add a murder into the plot with the murderer neither predictable or obvious, lots of small town gossip, and this book delivers on all levels.
A good story, a great romance, lots of laughs and a happy ending. What more can you ask for?!
"Great start to a promising series"
I really enjoyed this book. Such a fun read with a sassy gal who finds her groove. Bobbi discovers sometimes you need a change of location to break out the box you have been placed into by others. She really works to become the bold woman she always wanted to be!
It seems most everybody is obsessed with her butt. She might have a great backside but it was a little distracting how much it is commented upon. Still it was fun seeing her get her groove back and fight against the stuffy mold she spent so long wearing.
The story was fun most of the time, even with the intrigue lurking throughout. I was also more than a touch annoyed with her obsession with her ex-husband and the Cookie Monster. Well, I guess that is what happens when you spend twenty years as a doormat. I really like her progress from the beginning of the book to the end. She has setbacks and slips into her old persona. It was great seeing her dig into her new life with gusto!
The romance is fun and sweet at times. I loved the whole dynamic with Nick and the Sheriff. It is great getting the mixed narrative, really helps you understand Bobbi, Nick and even Warren. I appreciate getting so many points of view to create a fuller picture.
The complete 360 of the townsfolks in the end was a bit strange. Too soon in my opinion.
The smexy scenes are yummy! Just enough detail to make things hot but not going into the full on smexy steam. Plenty enough to have a girl fanning her face!! Oh lordy, there are some very steamy kisses throughout!!
I listened to the audiobook narrated by the fabulous June Wayne. She does a superb job with Bobbi in all her sassy glory. She also has many distinct voices to contend with, she does a bang up job of keeping things consistent. I loved her quick pace and the energy it adds to the banter. She is a real treat and perfectly suited to the delicious read!
Overall, I loved the quirky characters in the series, they are wonderfully engaging and fun. This is the kind of book that leads into a series one can genuinely love. I am definitely enamored with the town of CottonMouth.

This one is wonderful! I would highly recommend this book for anyone. It had everything without going overboard.
I haven't read the printed version but the audio version ROCKS!
I don't like to compare books every one of them is unique in its way.
Nick Angel the serial killer! and all the troubles that Roberta Jones or Bobby (I liked her better of course) as she is trying to find her real self again.
I fell in love with a serial killer :D
Thank you very much Jasmine Haynes , Jennifer Skully and of course June Wayne for this book.
