Publisher's Summary

He was standing face-to-face with a dead woman...and she was holding a gun. Lieutenant Seth Buchanan finds his homicide investigation - and his heart - thrown into turmoil when Grace Fontaine turns up very much alive - and in possession of one of the huge blue diamonds known as the Stars of Mithra.

The cool, controlled cop never lets his feelings get in the way of his job, and everything he knows about the notorious heiress tells him she's bad news. But in her irresistible presence, Seth finds it hard to remember there's any mystery more important to solve than that of Grace herself.

    "Enjoyed it"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

An older series, but enjoyable. I wish the other two books had been made into audiobook format also and the entire series offered at once. This is the 3rd and last one.

Be aware this is a reprint.

"I made it to the end!"

I he to know what was going to happen! The ending was a bit lack luster. I wanted fireworks between the last couple. Overall, I enjoyed it, but wanted more details. I still have questions.

"Best One! Great finish to the series!"

The three book series is like one big novel. The last book was the best because I already knew most of the characters and was finally getting to know the last two. Great ending!

    ""With Grace""
Would you consider the audio edition of Secret Star to be better than the print version?

This is 3 of 3 romance series that N.R. wrote years ago. It was an automatic download for me when the reader was good on the sample. Beware, the mystery is revealed in this book, but the characters were the focus. N.R. needed the mystery tread for the trilogy. However, this was the best of the 3 stories. These are core romances with a mystery involved. The mystery just links the friends on the hunt.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Grace is a get it done lady, so that is why of the 3 books, this was my fave. She was not afraid of anything. In all 3 books, N.R. once again brings sexy/hunky heros into the story. This series along with the NightShade series are well worth a listen. Many of us read the books years ago and have waited for them to be recorded.

Have you listened to any of Scott Merriman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is my first listen to reader. He has a full range of male characters that are yummy. His female voices are good, which is so very hard for many good male readers to achieve.I would try another of his recording for sure. I am not a Luke Daniels fan, he just does not do it for me. This reader could have made the McCade brothers hot!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

As I said, these are early N.R. core romance reads. They were written to have a HEAE and make you feel good. All 3 of the stories did just that.

    Any additional comments?

Audible, please bring the NightShade series as they were good, sexy and very well done. They have stood the test of good writing as I have re-read that series over again from the 90's.
