A SEAL's promise is not only something to live for, it is something to die for. Special Operator T.J. Talbot, raised in a string of foster homes and nearly tossed from the Brotherhood, is forced to make a deathbed promise to care for his best friend's wife and baby. At home, Shannon Moore wants nothing to do with the community or anything that reminds her of her fallen SEAL husband, until fate steps in to show her she is still connected, and needs the love of this flawed warrior who shares her grief.

"Love me s SEAL"
Wow !!! What a story! In the style I came to love from one of my fave authors, Sharon Hamilton took me on a journey that will stay with me for a while. Told by one of the best voices I've heard, JD Hart is pulled me into the story and kept me there. TJ and Shannon's story has everything you need to fall in love with it. Their journey to HEA is rocky and with lots of twists I didn't expect, tragedy and suspense mixed with laughter and joy, some hot sexy scenes. I love the personal touch at the end where Ms. Hamilton is leaving us her personal message as usual, also the soundtrack that fits the series to a T. Thank you for hours of pure enjoyment.
"What A Awesome Story"
This is the first book I've read from this author and I can honestly say it was a really great book. I will definitely be reading more from her and can't wait to read/listen to the other books in this series. I enjoyed this book so much that I'm going to have to buy all the one in this series and read or listen to them in order. That's just my prefence but seeing as this was the first I've read/listened to and its book #8 I will say that you don't have to go in order to understand these books which is great. This is a book that I reccomend you add to your Libaray its worth it.
Yes, I would. While the story line was predictable, it was enjoyable. The narrator did a good job giving the characters a voice.
Yes. While I found no surprises, there was still plenty in the book to keep my attention.
This is the first one I've listened to but I seriously doubt it will be the last.
Yes, it passed the car ride quickly and enjoyably.
"The Promise to Care"
This is my first audiobook review so I sure hope I do it justice. I had already reviewed this book back in March. I found myself enjoying the book all over again. Reading and listening are totally different for the senses.
This book is narrated by J.D. Hart. I started listening and found his smooth, clear voice makes the book even better. You can hear the emotions and the inflections as he is reading this book. I found that it actually enhanced the story and made me want to add the audio files for more of my books.
As for the story itself, so good and emotional. The main character promises his dying best friend that he will watch over his family. This ends up confusing Shannon. T.j. says he loves her. Is it just because of this promise? Is it actually for her?
They have a lot to work out and it takes time. Time he may not have. Shannon get nervous and runs away for a bit. She agrees with T.J. that she needs to give it a fair chance before she just gives up like that.
So many surprises with this book! I do not want to give it all away. Just will tell you if you already love military romances, or this series - it is well worth it. There is nothing like having the sound of a great voice read you a sexy book! Warning: Due to language I recommend for readers over 18+ only. I give this audiobook version a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

"I love this series"
I feel apart of this family this community. you will laugh and you will cry. my favorite part was you got to witness them becoming a family instead of reading about it in the next book.
"Ladies... this one is MINE!"
I just downloaded SEAL My Home, so of course, I had to re-read A SEAL's Promise again first because I hadn't done my review & didn't want to forget how I felt. I know they are "Bad Boys" but they really aren't, they're lovely. I've yet to read a Sharon Hamilton book that doesn't touch me. I would dedicate this book to those times when you think life has just kicked you in the ovaries and you can't see the silver lining.... along comes a majestic warrior & saves the day! Tender, heart-felt, sexy and oh so endearing... those are the words I would use to describe TJ Talbot. I was completely taken in from the first few paragrahps. I love this hero, he's my cup of tea. As I go through Sharon's SEAL books I keep thinking "ooh maybe he's my favourite, but then there's...", yep, just can't make my mind up, but TJ, he may just be the one for me!!! At the end of each book I think "OK, there is no way she can top herself after that!" and then, SHE DOES. Again, the audiobook version is dramatised, yes dramatised, because you forget it's just one man narrating the whole thing! There is nothing missing in any of these books, they're 100% for me, then JD comes along and makes them 150%. It's too much sometimes for my fragile heart because I ALWAYS CRY. I've come to expect a high level of romance, action, fun and diversity from Sharon which is not fair because not everyone can write the next book as good as, or better than the last, but I DO EXPECT THAT from her because that's what I've received from every single book! This is no different, except that this SEAL might have been "imagined" just for me!
Sensual, exciting, togetherness
The way TJ showed strength through finding love.
Everything about his performance. He made Sharon Hamilton's words come to life
Both reactions. You felt it all. You cried through the death of the heroes friend and smiled at the things TJ did to win Shannon over.
Between JD's narration and Sharon Hamilton's words the story swept you away on a sensual delight
Great addition to the series. Loved it looking forward to the next story. Makes you feel like you are there
"These books are just ok. **minor spoiler alert**"
These books are ok but they are definitely not "Great". There's a lot in this story that just made me call "BS". I realize I'm reading fiction but since it's supposed to be about the reality of the H&H so I expect it to be realistic.
Well I think it's VERY unlikely a pregnant woman whose beloved husband is killed overseas is going to fall in love with his best friend and agree to marry him within a couple of months. Then she gives birth via emergency C-section and she has sex a few days later? BS..... I've had 3 C-sections and have a pretty high pain tolerance and there's no way I would have had sex a few days after being released from the hospital. Putting aside the pain of moving your abdominal muscles, having sex at that point would be messy and gross and against doctors orders since you risk a uterine infection. Youre supposed to wait 6 wks. And if that's not enough you're so exhausted I can't imagine you'd even be horny yet at all. That seriously turned me off. The previous books had issues too so this may be the last one from this series for me.
"another awesome book!"
I love this series. each book can be read as a stand alone but ties in nicely with the other books in the series. characters crossing over from the other books is entertaining .
written as a multi pov.
