From New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Vivian Arend. Second chances are the sweetest, and the hottest.
It took a spectacularly embarrassing break-up to knock Steve Moonshine Coleman off his lazy butt. In the 10 months since that night he's changed his ways. Now that Melody's back in town, it's time for this sweet-talking cowboy to convince her to get back in the saddle with him.
A return to her veterinary position in Rocky Mountain House was always in the cards for Melody Langley. Getting back together with Steve? Never part of the plan. He had lots of potential but zero ambition, and there's no way she'll accept anything less than a man who can keep up with her, in and out of bed.
But the new-and-improved cowboy is impossible to resist, so Melody issues a challenge: Three months to prove he's reformed. three months of Steve orchestrating one sexual indulgence after another. They're wicked distractions from the old boys' club Melody faces at work, and Steve's growing responsibilities.
He's got one shot to prove with more than words what's in his heart and soul.
Warning: 50 percent less angst, twice as much filthy-talking, dirty-daring cowboy. Get ready for a whole lot of make-your-knees-weak wooing from a man intent on proving he's got what it takes, and the woman ready to push him way past his limits.

Another nice story in the series. I enjoyed the book, though I did have to struggle with some of it. It didn't capture me as much as some of the others, this almost seemed like more of a fluff piece. As always, I did enjoy the characters and the men are so devoted and loving it makes me a bit envious! I would have to put an adult content warning on here, so don't be taken by surprise at the "non vanilla" intimate parts. Not my favorite, but worth listening to, to keep up with the characters and storylines.

Read : Rocky Ride: Thompson & Sons, Book 1 before this book. I love the stories about all the families but I wish they were more in line.
"Huge Fan Of The Six Pack Ranch-This Was Average"
In this installment we meet Melody Langley and Steve Moonshine Coleman. They had a 'rocky romance' that ended in Melody pouring a picture of beer over him. She left town to go to veterinary school and tried to forget him. Now she is back and in charge of the veterinary clinic while the owner is gone.
Quickly Melody and Steve resume their flirtation and Steve tries to think of ways to make up for his past behavior – which was apparently bad, but there were no real references as to why.
Melody faces a lot of hesitant and outright rude ranchers and farmers when she shows up to to tend to their animals needs. She has to deal with sexist comments and behaviors. Steve seems to do everything that he can to appease her, which to me was not very attractive.
As Melody deals with the sexism from her coworker as well as the farmers/ranchers, Steve does the best he can to repair and make new their relationship.
This book was a bit bland, in my opinion. I think that it is probably the weakest in the Rocky Mountains series. It was good, just not great like the others.
Tatiana Sokolov does a good job narrating this book. At times, her Canadian accent did not sound authentic, but that is just a minor detail. As is my preference, I did listen to this at 1.25 times speed.
Notes: Mature themes and strong language
Movie rating: R

Please consider "following me" here on Audible.com. I purchase a lot of books by authors that I am faithful to and well known names. I also have the unique opportunity to review books from lesser known/new authors in all genres. Most of these books are not something that I would not pick up on my own. I have been pleasantly surprised by new authors and great narrators.
