The powerfully compelling novelization of the major motion picture by Joel and Luke Smallbone of the band for King & Country.
James Stevens was, at one time, a good man with a great life. After the tragic death of his wife and losing custody of his little girl, James is at the darkest crossroad of his life. Angry, desperate, and unable to hold down a steady job, he agrees to drive a box truck on a shady, one-time trip cross country for cash - no questions asked. When he discovers what he is delivering is actually a who, the questions in his mind begin haunting him mercilessly. James becomes an unlikely hero who must fight to save the lives of two young women and finds himself falling in love with one of them.
Can love, strength, and faith redefine his past and change the course of his future?

I read this in just a few days I was gripped i was hooked. i love the book because it is graphic but not too graphic you know what's going on but without all the difficult scenes being too painful to read. it's such a good message and the ending is good although predictable but I really enjoyed it!
"SO AMAZING. I think I might just read it again and"
so amazing one of the best books I've ever read I will definitely be reading this book again
"Disappointing; Left me feeling empty & uninspired."
Good concept but left me feeling empty. I understood that this book was based on actual events, had a Christian spin and written by Christian authors; this was way oversold and underexecuted. I read fiction to be Inspired and secondarily entertained. I regretted time that I have spent laboring through this book. I do not feel inspired. I am 3/4 of the way through and I don't know how soon or even if will find the will power to finish.
I did finish the book it had a few more (excessive) twists then a decent ending but gating there was quite the chore.
"Amazing story sad but inspiring"
This story is very well written. I wanted to see the movie but decided to read/listen first. Glad I did.
I was captivated from the very beginning and did not want to stop listening... What an awesome story of faith, hope and love....can't wait to see the movie, but had to listen to the book first!
I loved it. I found I couldn't put it down answer stop listening to it. Thanks for being detailed so ones imagination could bring you into the story with the characters.
amazing read was everything I hoped for. it is a story that opens eyes and heals pain.
