"If opposites attract, then I am nothing. Because you, you are everything." There's no easy road traveled to such an intense sentiment, one I never dreamt I'd feel. But I also never planned on Cannon Blackwell climbing aboard my tour bus.

I'm an avid audiobook fan reading contemporary, romance, YA, PNR, fantasy and sci-fi. I review for Jo&IsaLoveBooks Blog.
Yes, the narrator did an excellent job with a brilliant story.
The main characters Lizzie and Cannon, and Lizzie's brother Connor was a delight.
Her voice was versatile and captured the varying atmosphere very well.
Canon and Lizi's story - an inspiring, beautiful story so incredibly well written- excellently narrated by kitty bang. Simply put, the story, the cast of characters and the talented narrator make this an audio book you DO NOT want to miss.
"NOW HOLD ON BECAUSE I'M ABOUT TO GUSH HERE......."
Just sometimes a book comes along that I am SO enjoying that I have to stop it just to savor and prolong the journey it's taking me on..... well, this was one of those listens. There really wasn't a lot of Summary to go on so I took a chance on it..... and WOW-WOW-WOW the beauty, passion and depth to this love story just blew my mind.
Liz is a strong, independent and feisty Singer who's beautiful inside as well as outside but she doesn't see it because she's too busy caring for her oh so loveable, but mentally damaged, older brother and she is angry and haunted by tragedy in her past and blames her Dad for all of it. They're on a Tour Bus (driven by her Uncle) with the rest of the Band - her two (male) best friends heading to the next small gig but Liz's fate and everyone's future is about to change when she offers a gorgeous stranger with a guitar a ride.
Cannon is handsome, talented, cool and oh so perfect in every way.... (sigh) I loved loved loved him and Liz brought out the very best in him and together they made great music between them, faced her demons (and his in the form of an ex Fiancé), supported each other, made beautiful, emotional and passion-filled love to each other and got to see a perfect HEA ending for themselves in this intensely beautiful love story. The first half was told as Liz's POV and the second half was thankfully joint.
S E Hall's gift of telling a story has made her an auto download for me and that, coupled with Kitty Bang's brilliant narration (and singing) who changed mere (but awesome) words and created a living and breathing vision of a close but emotionally dysfunctional group of friends, a family split by heartache and two destined lovers and I was transfixed listening to their story as it all seemlessly played out. There was laughter, tears, heartache and joy.
Worth a credit? It smoothly unfolded and didn't rush to get to the passion or sex but laid down a strong foundation and then built and built and built.... emotions, heartache, drama and love in it's many many forms. So, worth a credit?...... YES, worth a re-listen?..... YES and worth 5 stars?..... YES.
"Open Letter To SE Hall"
I'd never even heard of you before Pretty Instinct and now, here I am, a mere 47 minutes and 52 seconds before the end of the book and I'm already feeling bereft. My only consolation will be another book like this one and...I can't find anything comparable. One request S.E., please, please, PLEASE write more books, have Kitty Bang narrate them and offer them on audible. Thank you and that is all.
"I kind of struggled with this one"
Way too many corny lines. The male lead's character was over the top in love and just corny and sugary sweet. Not that I have a problem with being mushy, but I prefer a nice even balance. Because most men simply do not act like this and certainly a hot rocker doesn't act like this. I got a little excited the first time they had sex. He got a little raunchy and that was hot. But then the sugary, diabetic sweetness came back and I can't count how many times I rolled my eyes listening to this book. Some parts also seemed a bit disjointed. All in all, it was just ok.
"Great story! AWESOME narration!"
Really enjoyed this book...the character development, the dialogue, the storyline - it really draws you in...each and every character. And the narrator was AMAZING!! First time I've heard her and she was fabulous...with every character...really made the story come to life. Loved this book!
I believe that most romance novels are purely for fun, but every now and then there comes a story that will teach you a thing or two about life. This is one of those stories.
Ms Hall gave us Lizzie and Cannon that stole my heart with their love. And Connor who gives us hope in humanity.
Ms Bang gave them a voice!
"Worth the listen"
While it may seem a bit drawn out in some spots, it was a great story. I wouldn't classify it as an erotic as the title implies since it was at about 8 hours in before the relationship between the H/h began. But it had a nice build up, but it could have been more improved by a quicker build up, and a more drawn out timeline. Even though it took 8 hours to get to the hook up it still had a bit of insta-love connotations and moved rapidly in progression of feelings after that mark. Overall I liked the story, and the narrator was fantastic, you always knew who was talking and the emotional state of the characters just from narrative. It's worth the listen, and an enjoyable story overall.
"I enjoyed it!"
Some books don't give you the whole story so you need to buy the next, but I loved that it all was resolved in the end! I was entertained, because I listen in traffic on my minimum 1hr commute and it kept my interest!
This book has made me laugh and cry. Gave this book a chance after reading all the summaries and so glad I did. Great read
"A Little for Everyone..."
Unlikely, but possible, beginning. Built into a wonderful and touching story with a little mystery, family tragedy, friendship, angst, and hot love making thrown in. Absolutely worth the credit!
"Wonderful Book With Great Narration"
Pretty Instinct is the newest book by S.E. Hall and boy, does she hit a high note! It is the story of Liz, her brother Conner and her two best friends Rhett and Jarrett (who also happen to be scrumptious brothers) as they travel together on their tour bus playing different venues along the way. After Liz kicks out a fifth, obnoxious and utterly useless member, they need to find someone to replace this band member. Lo and behold they happen upon Cannon Blackwell just sitting on a bench. Is he a deranged serial killer? Hitchhiker? Or the perfect man to step on to the tour bus, join the band and take control of Liz’s heart?
Yes, much of Pretty Instinct takes place on board a tour bus with a band – one woman three men and a driver. But that is where whatever you may be thinking a typical book about a band on a bus touring the country playing in bars ends. SE Hall takes this book in such a different and glorious direction. Music does play a large role in the story and is important to both the characters and the setting, but the book centers more around the relationships and the characters’ journeys as they heal their hearts and themselves. You will laugh, cry, swoon – in other words SE Hall will run you through the gamut of emotions and touch you deep inside your heart with this winner!
I wouldn't classify it as an erotic as the title implies since it was at about 8 hours in before the relationship between the H/h began. But it had a nice build up, but it could have been more improved by a quicker build up, and a more drawn out timeline.
I highly recommend Pretty Instinct. And for those of you that are concerned about series - while it is the first book in The Finally Found Collection it is a standalone novel :)
Kitty Bang did a fantastic job with the delivery of the story. She gave each character their own distinct voice and really drew the listener into the story.
Please Audible bring us more from the series.
