Summary

Breakaway

She's reaching for a breakaway pass.

Dana Campbell has spent the past seven years in self-imposed isolation for a crime she didn't commit. The danger is well in the past, but her panic attacks make it impossible to have a normal, healthy relationship with a man. Even her counselor has given up on her. She has to find someone she trusts to help her fight through the panic, or her seven-year ordeal will become a lifetime sentence. There's only one man she feels safe enough to ask.

On the Fly

Injury after injury has put Brenden Campbell's NHL career on hold for years. Now he's playing for the Portland Storm and determined to make it stick. Few things in life drive him more than being told he can't have something he wants, and what he wants most is to prove he belongs. Brenden also wants Rachel Shaw, the cute, little redhead who just got hired as the general manager's new assistant. But then she went and made herself off-limits, telling him: "I don't date." Those three words pretty much guarantee that he'll do everything he can to change her mind.

Taking a Shot

Katie Weber has had a crush on Jamie Babcock for almost two years, since he joined her father's pro hockey team, the Portland Storm, as an 18-year-old rookie. When cancer takes her health, her hair, and even her friends, she can't bear to go to senior prom...until Jamie intervenes.

Light the Lamp

Life's been rough lately for Noelle Payne, but she's not one to let negativity rule. So, she lost her job? She'll find another one. The bank foreclosed on the house? Well, she can live out of her car for a while. There's always an upside to be found...but now Noelle needs to find something to give her life meaning. She owes it to the universe to figure it out, too, because a stranger just saved her life.

Fantastic series

I LOVE this series, it’s one of my favourites. I’m “rereading” the Portland Storm series by listening to the audiobooks. I thoroughly enjoyed Angel Clark’s narration. I’m very much looking forward to the rest of the stories.

Adored these Alpha Male Hockey Players 😉

OMG Book 1 Break Away: we see Dana Campbell & Captain of the Portland Storm, Ice Hockey team Eric Zellinger, who's her older brother Brenden “Soupy”'s best friend. And heck she went something deep, dramatic, NOT, SOMETHING ANYONE WOULD WANT TO GO THROUGH. And she WANTS/NEEDS Erick to help her past, her past, even though her might ONLY SEE her like a disaster. Emotional
Book 2 On The Fly: Emotional storyline, is WORSE than Dana's one, where we meet Single Mum of 2 Rachel Shaw, who turns up at the Storm Company for the new personal assistant to the General Manager of the Storm. And it's in seconds of her arriving that Brenden 'Soupy' Campbell wants her, then after getting the job, she gets a condo straight next door to Soupy. And the beginning of the story we hear, her heartbreaking reason of moving to Portland from Texas. Beautiful with some humorous episodes along that pull of the heartstrings.
Book 3 Taking a Shot: This one is shorter as it's where we see a different emotional story but this is to do with, the cute, sexy Jamie Babcock & the one girl he dreams of & sees constantly, his team mate Webber's High School Senior Katie, where we see that he's going to be able to GET that 1 date with her & that date is being her date to her Prom & heck that was a beautiful date, if ever there's one. Can't wait to see more of what may come during the rest of the serious, which I'm sure there will be.
Book 4 Light This Lamp: 1 little negative on this his book is that I feel like that Liam Kallan doesn't sound as if he's Swedish & he's only been in Portland just over a couple of weeks, so they don't know much about him except that his Wife Liv had a horrific accident. And when he came across Noelle, she seems like she's in a similar position, had he felt he had to get her away from that situation. Noelle though is such a person who see's good & light in everyone & everything that happens, NO MATTER how dire & traumatic a situation is.

THIS WAS MY FIRST PIECE OF WORK THAT I HAVE READ BY CATHERINE GAYLE & I LOVE THESE ALPHA MALES & THE WOMEN WHO HAVE AREAS WHERE THERE'S DEEP TRAUMA
