When Ivy League & Tutus Collide, ain't that the truth? Not only did they collide, they tore each other up in the process! I was completely and utterly immersed in this book from the get-go. I loved the dual POV, I fell totally in love with both Adeline and Leo, they both just made complete and utter sense to me. Their interactions were believable and the sexual tension took my breath away. The story follows ballet dancer Adeline who is on a student scholarship programme at a prestigious ballet company and the two loves of her life who were born with silver spoons in their mouths and are part of a power hungry fraternity that threaten everything and everyone to keep their secrets. This is a love story with lots of angst, twists, turns, revenge and jealousy. Can their two worlds merge and will they defy the odds? Will love conquer all? I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would go as far as to say it's my favourite Amy Daws book to date
"Overall the story was good!!"
I would recommend this book to a friend. The story was good and it had some hotness to it. I can't say that I agreed with eveything but hey I always think that someone does something stupid in these stories. The crazy thing is that we normally do stupid things in real life all the time so nothing that the characters did stopped this book from being good. The narration was pretty good. This book was given to me for my honest opinion and I thought this was a genuinely well written and well narrated story.
"Devoured every second of it *LOVE*"
Haven't read it in print but I bet it as wonderful in an actual book as it was in audio version.
I am having hard time deciding between Adeline and Leo.
They rocked my world
This is impossible to say.
The whole book was truly amazing and I couldn't be happier to have gotten the chance to experience it.
It is a whole package thing!
But I would definitely stand in line for hours to buy a ticket to that movie.
From the moment I read the synopsis of this book my mind was intrigued and when I started listening to it...that was a sealed deal.
I have listened through this book almost without breaks...only for sleep.
The plot was very interesting and full of quality which is pretty obvious from the first chapter.
This is my first book by Sarah J. Peppers and 4th by Amy Daws and I must say it is one of my favorite ones!
They really managed to put this collaboration into perfection and I am not saying this lightly because in my past experiences it never ended well when two authors came together so far.
I love love loooove Leo, he might be one of my top boyfriends from now on :)
I may be no ballerina but for his sake I will do my best to become one *wink wink*
Adeline was also a strong heroine...standing her ground and holding her head high even after all the lemons life has served her and kept on going.
Those two had a wonderful chemistry that captivated me at once.
I connected so easily to these characters and was a cheerleader number 1 towards their HEA.
And all the angsty, mystery secrets made this book even more alive.
It kept me turning page after page like a crazy person craving for more and more.
The narration bothered me at first.
It felt like slow motion when the female voices were done while the male ones were spot on.
But later on as I got into the story and used to narrators voice I found myself liking it :)
So overall a great book with an amazing story line.
Beautiful characters that were developing perfectly.
And a good narrator that brought this book to life.
I will recommend this book to everyone:)
I LOVED IT!

"A Lovely Emotional Rollercoster!"
First, Pointe of Breaking left me wanting to be a ballerina. The details in the description of the dances and emotions throughout the book is incredible! The love story is intense, both are young college students that need to experience life and find their place among their worlds. It was a smooth and amazing listen that I would absolutely recommend!

"Pointe of Breaking"
Overall a very solid read. The book starts off with a bang, and the angst just grows from there. There is a secret boys club called the Gold. The Gold is ran by Blake and his father, and they run this whole town. Adeline is such a strong person, I love how she is with Leo. The duel narrators totally make the book a hit.
Upon introduction, Adeline's life is in disarray as she bumps into sexy confident Leo. While sharing a drunken confession, Leo learns who Adeline is. It's not until Adeline is nursing a hangover that she is modified to learn who her ride home was.
I loved the banter between Adeline and Leo. Each clearly smitten with the other from the start. As they overcome obstacles, being able to stay with each other becomes impossible, and there story deepens.
Pointe of Breaking is passionate, heartbreaking, and healing. A seamless collaboration between authors.
Valerie Gilbert was on pointe throughout her performance. Duel points of view alternated perfect. She really delivered a range of powerful emotions with all the characters. Take a bow. Bravo!

this was a very good book. very well writen and narrated
Right away I was drawn to it because me and my daughter were dancers. Blake was such an ass right away. When she meets Leos eyes I knew this was going to be a great twist. He is drawn to her even when he finds out she was Blakes ex. She fights to belong and he fights to keep her. The dance scene in which she was honoring 911 was done perfect . I felt it. I cried.these characters were strong whether they were evil or genuine .The story is filled with emotions. I can't wait to read it now.
The storyline was great. I am a huge fan of Amy Daws but the voice just didn't connect for me with the character. She sounded older than the leads actual age. And I really have a hard time with one actor playing both male and female in a duel POV. She was just too whiny in the female parts and not deep enough for the male. I like to get lost in a book and this just made me want to cringe.
"Risque,Graphic & Kind of a Weird Premise, But..."
It is difficult for me to recommend books from this genre. However, I would recommend point of breaking to my friends who are similarly inclined to "naughty" books. There is a plot that is easily followed – once you know who the three main characters are.
When I compare it to similar books, Pointe of Breaking is probably 75- 85% out of 100% (100% being the best)
Valerie Gilbert gives a very strong performance. She is believable as she performs the male characters as well as the female. I would enjoy listening to her again.
There is a lot of graphic, material that reviewers like to describe as' mature themes.'

"Could be my fault...."
I very well Could've misinterpreted the description of this story! I thought the H and h were ok...but I wasn't impressed with some of the situations that took place! For Example Allowing your EX to have sex with you RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF A BALLET PERFORMANCE then he put his wedding ring BACK ON & walked out! I READ A PREVIOUS REVIEW ABOUT THE ACTIONS BEING THAT OF NORMAL YOUNG ADULTS OF THIS AGE!!! Really?? cause I don't agree! I also think it's Unique that such an amazing "H" would be OK knowing that his So Called "BROTHER" had sex with her then he immediately JUST FELL IN LOVE!
.....DON'T GET ME WRONG, I DID NOT HATE THIS BOOK, I just saw a few Flaws! IN MY OPINION! I did enjoy the story for the most part, It just needed a bit more work that's all!
Also I DO THINK THE NARRATOR Didn't do the best job! I think that might be part of my issues as well!!
***WAS IT WORTH A CREDIT???
Yes I would pay a Credit for it! it's a, decent length book & I did enjoy it!
***WOULD I RECOMMEND IT TO FRIENDS & FAMILY???
Ummmm that's a hard question! yes as long as they are ADULTS cause of the language & situations!
