Will Montgomery is a successful professional football player and seemingly has it all. He's not used to being told no, and certainly doesn't take no for an answer. So when he turns his charms on his sister's sexy rocker-chick friend Meg, he's not only turned down, but met with open hostility, piquing his curiosity and libido.
He's determined to show her that he's not the arrogant jock she thinks he is, and to get her into his bed. Megan McBride is not impressed with Will Montgomery, his fat contract, fancy car, or his arrogant public persona. She doesn't have time for a relationship, and if she's learned anything in life, it's that loving means losing, so she guards her heart ferociously. But she can't deny the overwhelming attraction to the sexy, tattooed athlete, and when Will starts breaking down her defenses and grabs hold of her heart, will she be able to admit her feelings for him, or will her troubled past cause her to lose the first man she's ever truly loved?
Play With Me is the third book in the With Me In Seattle Series.

The story was very average. I've listened to and read much better contemporary romance stories. Some stories have little to no plot but the books are engaging and some have heavy plots which keep me glued to my seat and I end up reading or listening to the story in one go.
Will is cocky and sexy, he sounds like an interesting character.
Some of the dialogue was cheesy and I got fed up of hearing Will saying 'Babe' all the time.
I think Leah Mallach or Saskia Maarleveld would be better narrators. Jennifer Mack made this book sound like a high school story. When she narrates Will's parts, it sounds ridiculous.
Unfortunately it was just not for me. It reads like a steamy high school drama.
Fun, sexy and great
Megan....like how she allow her man to just take care of her after first being afraid.
Play with me
This book kept me very attentive and wanting to listen to the other books.
"This is Will & Meg's story! It didn't disappoint!"
We meet Meg McBride briefly towards the end of Fight With Me. She has a brief encounter with Jules & Will where she expresses some serious animosity towards Will. In the beginning of Play With Me you quickly learn why Meg is hostile towards him. Will is one of the four Montgomery brothers who all seem to be made from the sexy gene pool. He is a hot quarterback who can be a famous arrogant butt at times but when push comes to shove, Will is actually sweet and protective. Will is essentially living his dream as a football star. He's worked hard to get where he is and life for him is all about the game. That is, until he meets Megan McBride. Meg takes him by surprise when she instantly rejects him upon their first encounter. I loved Meg as a heroine. She is a woman who loves a sexy car, has a tattoo, used to sing in a rock band. To me, she was so genuine. She is a nurse working at the Seattle Children's Hospital in the cancer ward. She has a difficult job, but she loves it and she works hard. She gave up her career as a singer/musician when her best friend Leo moved to L.A. leaving her behind. Meg has had to overcome a harsh childhood and has dealt with the people who she has loved most in the world abandoning her. She definitely has trust issues not readily opening her heart to anyone. Will challenges her and even though she had a hard time voicing her feelings for him, he was simply too hard to resist. Will pulls out all the stops and this is wonderfully romantic and, as always, gave me the warm and fuzzies and is full of goofy grin loveliness. This story is hopeful, beautiful, compelling and it’s full of humor, passion, compassion and uplifting happiness. It’s paced beautifully allowing time for the relationship to believably develop, giving Meg chance to slowly reveal the reasons behind her doubts & for Will to fully understand how to help her heal. Kristen Proby has once again provided a very romantic tale with little angst and a whole lot of holy hotness. I love the fact that we get to catch up with the other couples from the previous books and get glimpses as to the other characters for future books. I am hooked.
"story was good"
the female narrator did horrible male voices. she kind of ruined the story. i liked the story line.
"Hot Sexy Quarterback Meets Quirky Singing Nurse"
Yes I would recommend this book to a friend because who wouldn't want to listen to a book about a "big" football player chasing a sweet, caring young lady. Will is a nurturer and Meg is used to taking care of others so it's nice to have someone take care of her. We all fantasize about handsome, sexy men taking care of all of our needs.
I would absolutely be willing to try another book from Kristen Proby, just as soon as the next book is released. I have listened to all of her books that are available on Audible.
I really like Jennifer Mack's performance of the female characters. I liked the performance of the book better because Eric Michael Summerer perform throughout the story and not just the epilogue.
I would not go to the movies but I might be tempted to watch it as a made for TV movie.
"Hot football player...yes please!"
This is the third book in the with me in Seattle series. It can be a standalone, but I highly recommend reading the other two books first. Play with me is a lighthearted and sexy book. I liked it a lot! I will continue on with book four in the series Rock with me.
"books need ratings!"
I don't mind a bit of sensuality but this is just ridiculous! Don't waste a credit!
more story less sex
"Great, but repetitive"
This series is good. Romantic with vivid sex scenes. My only complaint is that the stories are repetitive. While the names and occupations change, every male subject has the same personality (overly protective and aggressive) and every female is the same (horrible trust issues and resists the man but eventually gives in). There's no variety but the series isn't unbearable.
"Another great book in the With Me In Seattle Serie"
If they like erotica, 100% yes
Will...he's just a big ole' bucket of swoon.
Yes - I've listened to all of the With Me In Seattle series - she does a great job.
There is a scene where one of Meg's patient's dies...very sad.
Great series - cannot recommend them enough if you like erotica.
"Sweet, Playful and fun"
I like Meg & Will a lot. Will gets serious fast and that is a bit surprising. There is no set conclusion with this one, though it is fine because there are 2 more books they will show up in. Hopefully they will show more there. There is a ton of steamy sex and a bit of stress. I have noticed though that the drama in these books is resolved pretty quickly. I think I like that, these are pretty much feel good books.
I liked the balance between the characters' careers. With him being a football player it helped to balance the story by making her a nurse in pediatric oncology.
"I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED EVERY.....SINGLE.....WORD"
I was swept away into their world, their fresh and new budding relationship, their desires, their hopes and dreams, their pitfalls and the closeness, love and support that their family and friends gave them. I laughed, I cried and I celebrated along with them as I became hopelessly glued to every perfect chapter.
What a brilliant, well-written book that gave me everything I hoped for..... and much much more. This book has it all.... a great storyline, humor, angst, romance, passion, hot sex scenes and a sexy drool-worthy famous leading man who's fallen for a likeable woman who unfortunately comes with some emotional baggage. Great narration finished off an awesome listen.
Worth a credit? Oh YEAH, I love Kristen Proby's books and I'm about to put ALL the others I've missed out on into my cart.... so I guess we'll be living on take-outs for a long long time.
