Dragos Cuelebre is no longer the only dragon.
Dragos's son Liam Cuelebre (a.k.a. Peanut) is springing into existence, reminiscent of the first of the Elder Races who were born at the beginning of the world. At just six months of age, he has already grown to the size of a large five-year-old boy. He can read, write in complete sentences, and his math skills are off the chart.
A white dragon in his Wyr form, Liam also holds more power than almost anyone else. In an effort to give him a taste of normality, no matter how fleeting, his parents Pia and Dragos enroll him in first grade.
They hope school will help teach Liam how to relate to others, a vital skill that will help him control his growing Power. But school has a surprising number of pitfalls, and relating to others can be a tricky business.
When a classmate is threatened, Liam must quickly learn self-control, how to rein in his instincts, and govern his temper, because there's no doubt about it - he is fast becoming one of the most dangerous creatures in all of the Elder Races.

Love this series, especially love this character and his family. $5 is a bit much for such a short story but I think it is worth it if you're into Pia & Dragos and the rest of the Elder Races characters. Hopefully Thea Harrison will return to full-length novels. Hate to spend a credit on a novella but hate to miss any developments in the series.
Short or long, Thea's writing and Sohpie Eastlake's narration are consistently top-notch. 4 stars overall just to complain about the price/length ratio.
"Really like Liam"
Really like the way Liam thinks......and it is explained how he thinks. Good kid being taught good values. All the novella's were too short in my opinion.....but we were told they were novellas going in. Would rather see books.....not novellas in the future.
"What a First Day at School!!!"
Peanut stops bullies, gets a girlfriend, and gets a bad teacher put in jail!!!! And he didn't even finish the first day. This may be short, but it is so cute you have to listen to it again. The talk he and Dragos has at the end was very moving and it gives us just a small hit of the dragon Peanut will grow up to be.
Thea and Sophie do their normal great jobs and the Elder Races is still one of my favorite series. Only bad thing is now I have to wait for the next book to come out.
"ANOTHER MUST HAVE LISTEN FOR ANY ELDER RACES FAN"
I've just spent a really enjoyable 1hr 39 minutes listening to the adventures of Peanut's first day at school and the problems he gets into during the day.
For any Elder Races fan who has loved listening to Dragos and Pia's story (which now includes their son Liam) then this is an emotional, funny and sweet story and it also keeps us up-to-date with how Dragos is getting on after his shocking accident.

"Peanut Goes to School"
I love reading about peanut, Dragos, and Pia . The story lines are wonderful. I think anyone reading this will not be disappointed .
love the story. can't wait to hear much more.
the stories of the lord and his family are my favorites.
I love the entire series of the Elder Races and the short story novellas makes the series complete. This ranks high on my list of audiobooks.
I love all of the characters, because she has portrayed them very well!! She makes me want to hear more from them. I'm ready for the next chapter in their lives!
I would take Drago's out for dinner, for everyone needs a strong dragon in their lives. It makes for great adventures!!
Ok, there aren't enough words available to express how much I love the entire Elder Races series. Not. Enough. Words. This novella is adorable.
What I really need to comment on this time is Sophie Eastlake's performance. Perfection. She's always been brilliant at capturing not only the perfect voice, but also the perfect essence of the character's personality. This time.... I have heard countless narrators, talented narrators, destroy the voice of a child. She nails Liam's voice, age appropriately, and with such attention to detail that I absolutely BELIEVED I was listening to that child. Well done.
If you don't own every one of the Elder Races books on audio yet, you are doing yourself a grand enjoyment disservice!
