New York Times bestselling author Catherine Bybee delivers the fifth heartwarming, flirty novel in the wildly popular Not Quite series.
Mary Kildare knows how to read people. It's both why she makes a great therapist and why she refuses to trust the average bachelor. Staying fiercely independent has been her primary relationship strategy - until wealthy playboy pilot (and commitmentphobe) Glen Fairchild reappears in her life. After a yearlong teasing tug-of-war, Mary and Glen test the waters of attraction, only to find that their physical chemistry runs deeper than flirtation.
At first, a bicoastal romance suits them both - especially since Glen can swoop in and whisk Mary away on one of his company's planes. But no matter how close they get, they're still three thousand miles apart. And when Mary's life is threatened, Glen realizes the one luxury he doesn't have is time. Can he close the distance between them before it's too late?

I love the twists and new quirks in Catherine Bybee's books and I feel like I am loosing true friends when one of her books end & this one was no exception.

"This series just keeps getting better."
Another great book in the Not Quite series.
Some great romance, a little bit of thriller tension, and a whole lot of personal growth.
Very well done.
"HMM.. Okay story, okay narration."
Well this book was just okay. Not my favorite in this series by far. It was just kind of meh.. Nothing exciting, no real mystery. It was just a basic romance. I liked Mary well enough. However, she could have had a much better back story, or a back story period. I mean she was abandoned after all. Missed some potential good elements there. The "mystery" was no real mystery at all. Had that figured out in a split second. I liked Glen, rich, handsome and nice. No real depth though.
The story line and plot were meh. Nothing great, nothing bad. There was lots of dialogue throughout the entire book which was great. I love lots of dialogue, so there is that.
As for the narration. I do like Amy McFadden for the most part, however she really needs to work on her men's voices. She does read with emotion, and her reading voice is nice. Just work on those men's voices a bit and it would be great.
"SO, SO GOOD!!!"
I truly enjoyed listening to (& reading) this book! I was into it from the beginning and throughout the story, my attention was glued to every word. I experienced many different emotions --- I laughed many times and I was carried away with Mary (main character) during the wonderful times she enjoyed with Glenn. I also shed many tears ---- sad and happy....scary and overjoyed. I couldn't help feeling a real emotional attachment to the main characters. Great book and fantastic narrator!
***DISCLOSURE*** I received the Kindle book for FREE through Goodreads Giveaways (I paid for the Audible audiobook).
