A song changed her life forever.
Roxana Nights was late to another gig, thanks to her first love, and drummer. She left him years ago but he won't let her go. Then she hears a voice that captivates her.
Trevor Malone recently moved to Seattle with his band. Music is his only passion, until he lays eyes on Roxana. The pull to her is irresistible. He's terrified she won't accept the beast within.
A rival werewolf pack followed Trevor's band to the states. Unwilling to let grudges die, they target Roxy.
One tragic mistake shatters her perception, showing her the fantasy world she writes is closer to reality. Unleashed magic courses through her veins, and not all monsters are evil.
Will the truth in his past shatter their love? Or can Roxy accept what she is in time to save them all?

Reading is a passion and an obsession.
I received a complimentary audiobook code from the author in return for an honest review.
This is the first book in the Others of Seattle series. I really enjoyed it!
Roxana (Roxy) Nights is a really strong character. I liked her kick ass attitude. She is a fantasy author and the lead singer in a group which is called 'Nights Embrace', which also contains her brother Michael (Mikey) and her ex-boyfriend, Jordan. Running late to a gig, Roxy meets Trevor Malone and sparks fly.
Trevor Malone is a wonderful character, who also happens to be a werewolf and the lead singer for 'Lunar Storm'. However, I didn't get an Alpha vibe from him. To me, he's more the lone wolf type, who surrounds himself with misfits as friends; this is not a bad thing, just different to what I was expecting. Other readers may disagree. When he spies Roxy backstage, he's attracted to her, but worried how she will react to his secret. However, danger lurks in the shadows. Can Trevor keep Roxy safe?
This audio book is narrated by John Lane, who did a wonderful job bringing the characters to life. I love his clear narration and especially his Irish accent used for Trevor and the other werewolves in the pack.
Having previously read/listened to a few of the Others of Edenton series of books, I was looking forward to listening to this new series (at least to me). I started to listen and I was completely hooked from the first chapter. The story is told through the view points of Roxy and Trevor, but there are a few other characters who have their say. This story is just as fast paced as the first series, Others of Edenton, with several intriguing characters.
Roxy finds out secrets about herself, her brother and her life that completely shocks her, and it was a pleasure watching her deal with her new reality with more maturity than even I would have shown if I was in her shoes. Speaking of maturity or lack of, Jordan comes across as a juvenile jerk, but he does some growing up in this book. His attitude did make me want to bop him one, but he goes through something that changes him. For the better? I hope so. I'm looking forward to find that out.
Mikey is a wonderful character. He is kind and loving and doesn't deserve to have his heart broken by Isadora, but he's in love with her. I'm looking forward to reading his story too.
There are several surprising twists that I didn't see coming and danger lurks in the corners. This story took me on a roller coaster ride of emotion, with lots of danger and action. I loved how the final showdown between William Scarsborough unfolded. It was extremely exciting and it had me sitting on the edge of my seat, though I shed a few tears too. The ending left me looking forward to continuing the series and will read or listen to the next book in the series, Storm Mistress, as soon as possible.
Brandy L. Rivers has written another intriguing paranormal romance series. I loved her fast paced writing style, and the flow was wonderful. Her characters are lifelike and likable. She is now one of my favourite authors.
Due to explicit scenes of a sexual nature, I do not recommend this book to readers under the age of 18. However, I do recommend this book if you love hot erotic paranormal romances full of werewolves, vampires, fae, druids etc. - Lynn Worton
love love loved it! from start to finish I couldn't tear my ears away from this audio book. Knights embrace captured my heart in ways many other audio books have failed to do :) keep up the great work Brandy L Rivers, I'll look forward to listening to future titles of yours.
"Love This Book!"
Adored this when I first read it and loved it even more on audio! John Lane did an amazing job on narrating!
I absolutely loved this spin off series from The Others of Edenton! Brandy Rivers never ceases to amaze me when she spins her magic and brings us into her paranormal world.
Roxy first heard Trevor when he is singing with his band, Lunar Storm. Entranced, she goes in to watch him and as she gazes at who she has coined "Mr Voice" her first thought is ~Holy ****, I want to lick him~
(Yes Ms Rivers had me from there!)
Roxy has a past and and Trevor has a secret. But you can't fight chemistry. Can you?
"I fell in love all over again"
***I received a free copy of this audio book from the author to review***
I had previously read this book, but I have to say listening to it, made me fall in love with Roxy and Trevor all over again. The narrator did a wonderful job with the accents and characters.
This book is definitely going to be a one that listen to again and again.
I hope Mr. Lane narrates the rest of this series.
"Love, love, love Brady's others!!"
A nice mix of others inatead of just wolves. Lots of luvin, romance and action! Awesome strong female characters. Great story!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
"Loved this book"
It only took a few sentences for me to fall in love with John Lane's voice! His voice flowed easily over the words, bringing the characters to life. He gets the accents perfect. I could listen to John Lane read his grocery list!
Night's Embrace is the first book in the Others in Seattle series. I loved this book from the very beginning. All of the characters are complex and are as engaging and memorable as Roxy and Trevor. This book is packed full of drama, heat and sweetness. I LOVED that Roxy isn't a weak heroine. She is a perfectly flawed woman, full of contradictions. She is strong, independant, yet leans on Trevor and his clan when needed. She saves herself, speaks her mind and still respects others. Trevor is so smitten. He loves hard, fast and will risk everything to protect what's his. I enjoyed the Clan, MIke and can't wait to see what happens next!
"All audible books takes a story to a new level"
I read this book a few months back and here is my review:
Nights Embrace by Brandy L Rivers
With one book Brandy turned my prejudice against shifter stories on it's ear!
The book is everything I don't like. Well almost. It has explicit adult content, wolves...I love wolves but dislike any were animals apart from Jacob in Twilight. I mean seriously, who would go for cold and sparkly if they can have hot and hot?
Any way. The book does get starred down due to the adult content. It is seriously not for me but it gets a star up for the fact that it has a kick butt heroin. With a brother whom is sweet, a friend that cares and is not in competition and a hot, hot guy. Ok so he is older... A few hundred years older but he is also as humanly realistic as I have ever come across in a NA story like this. He is a mature male with bite.
Well edited, well plotted and character development is really very well done this book turned out to be a very welcome surprise!
On audible however the story gained so much more new nuances that I missed in print. The characters simply sizzled and popped this time around.
The narrator did a really great job with this book.
Yes, I loved the characters and how John Lane voiced the guys. The girls left something to be desired but can't blame a guy for not being able to do the girl voices perfect. I loved how well he did the different accents!
I love Roxy and her fire. She is amazing!
No I haven't.
I think how good Trevor was to Roxy and how he knew he had to earn her trust and prove himself to her everyday, and he didn't mind it at all.
This book was awesome, Brandy really pulls you into the story. John makes the characters more real and bring them to life. The only thing that was a little annoying was that when John said the chapters it didn't match up with the actual chapters.
Smokin', Hot, and Fantastic!
If I had to compare Nights Embrace to another book it would be In Too Deep, also by Brandy L Rivers. The characters in both books have something magical about them, that draws the reader in.
My favorite scene was in the beginning when Roxy sees Trevor. The way she was looking at him was hot! And the way Trevor responded to her had me cheering for them from the beginning. I also laughed when Trevor got a couple of drum sticks to the head.
Yes! The narrator did a great job conveying the story. He was clear, consistent and did a awesome job in distinguishing each of the characters voices.
Brandy L Rivers deliveries another outstanding book. Roxy and Trevor are likable and relatable. I also liked how the other characters were a part of the story. Mikey being protective of his sister was sweet, as well as Trevor's clan who are looking out for him. Ms. Rivers has a talent for story telling and keeping her readers wanting more.
"Brandy does it again!!!!"
Oh yes I would!! The narrator really brought the story to life....it really is a great audio book
I loved all the different paranorms being in one one story. Roxy an Trevor are so freaking hot together.
Oh wow so many...but I guess my fav would be when Roxy meets her father an the way that went down it was pretty good
I giggled a few times while listening...I didnt cry at all
This audio is hot...the sex scenes while being read to you by a guy that does the most amazing accents....takes this book to a whole new level... If your looking for a book that has a lot of action, all kinds of supers (not just vamps an werewolves) an as I stated some intense sex scenes...then this is the book you've been looking for
"Nights embrace review"
True love perseveres.
I would have to say it was when Roxy brought Trevor back to life.
I loved how he did the accents for all the characters.
True love is a force of nature to reckoned with.
I loved the whole concept of this book and I look forward to reading/listening to the rest of this series.
"Love the Book!"
Love this book! Brandy is a great author! Listening to the book brings it to life! I would recommend this book! I can't wait to listen to the rest of her books! ENJOY!
