Summary

Charm is the key to the world. Charisma, magnetism, sex appeal - that "it" factor that can't be described. Nolan Delaney has it is spades. The infamous Mr. Romantic. And maybe he is out of my league, but I'm going to give it the old college try anyway. Because I didn't travel 2,000 miles for a job interview at his request just to be put out like trash. Don't underestimate me, Mr. Delaney. I'm really not as innocent as I look.

beautifully sad

Mr romanic I complex, angry and tortured.

this book caught me from the start.

I'm not going to give anything away about the story but to say its a must read.

Erin and Tad bring the characters to life. J A Huss has written a great series of books. I listens to Mr Romantic in one go so its time to sleep before I start listening to Mr Corporate.

A great 2nd book

Listen to the 1st book and loved it, so I had to listen to this one!!

The fantasy scene was so well written and read for such a taboo subject, it really brought the characters together.

Can't wait for the next one .......

Not for the fainthearted

wow, while I enjoyed the overall suspense of the twisting tale of the "Brown Boys" I found the fantasy scenes quite graphic & certain parts uncomfortable to listen too(my own personal opinion) Mr Romantic wouldn't be my choice of names, but it explains well why he's like he is.Moving onto the next 1 purely to finish the series & find out who & why.
The narrators are good.

Fantastic!

The intriguing Mister series continues with Mr Romantic aka Nolan Delaney.
There's more mystery, more excitement, and more heart pounding heat as this brilliant series continues. The narrators are fantastic too!

I DIDN'T LIKE THE CHARACTER

Mr Romantic? Hmm...

Nolan Delaney wasn't romantic at all and I couldn't understand where the name came from even though it was explained I still didn't get it because he was far from it.
I didn't like his character, maybe I wasn't supposed to like his character because of the underlining story that runs through the Mister series but I'll tell you why I didn't like him.

Nolan Delaney is in the process of setting up a resort in the desert or Vegas and is looking for marketing people to get his project off the ground.
Enter Ivy Rockwell.. Ivy has just finished college, she isn't the ideal candidate for the job, hasn't got enough experience for something this big but she receives an invitation to apply for the position, a private jet is waiting and it's all mysterious but why the heck not, she didn't apply but someone passed her details on somehow and what has she got to lose.

Nolan's sister is also overseeing the project and what a bitch she is but I digress, anyway when Nolan see's Ivy Rockwell he wants her and it has nothing to do with the job.

Nolan is a manipulator, a predator and to be honest he gave me the creeps, Ivy is drawn to him like a moth to a flame and as the story progresses he introduces Ivy who is the daughter of a pastor and also a virgin to rape play and acting out scenes but he doesn't swoon his way to that point with Ivy, he isn't even charming and I haven't a clue how Gullible Ivy got there, that's just in a nutshell.

I didn't like Nolan but there is a but and it's a big BUT

"THAT NIGHT"

If you have started this series you will know that there is a THAT NIGHT.
A night the five misters at Browns university get arrested for gang rape. All five misters are let off eventually, not enough evidence to convict and we know they are innocent, a little was shared in Mr Perfect but in the eyes of the public they are guilty and from THAT NIGHT life changed for all of them, it's all still a mystery, none of them know they why or how even now but it's all still very real how life changed for all of them but who set them up?

In each of the Misters, there is more clues as they come together in each book an event that takes place with Nolan and Ivy brings them all back together again even after more than 10 years someone is still out to get them, but who?

THAT NIGHT affected Mr Romantic aka Nolan Delaney and this story reflects how.

Did Nolan redeem himself at the end in my eyes? A little bit, I understood him more and I did get to the end of this book not wanting to call him an A-hole anymore but I still don't think he is Romantic and Ivy deserves someone more loving.

I want to follow this series though, I am more than curious about the answers and how THAT NIGHT will be revealed through the eyes of each Mister so I will have to see it through to the end to find out.

Brilliantly written by J.A Huss, I can't argue with that and the clever way she is carrying this plot through each book.

Misnomer Series

This is book 2 in a series that I’m starting to think is poorly named. Unless the titles are ironic. I’m at chapter 37 & still have a way to go, but I’m not invested. I didn’t read the 50 Shades books because they are not my genre. This isn’t my genre. So I dislike this book because of that! I’m wondering if they are all in this vein? Book 1 had slight elements of it.

Additionally. Ivy is supposedly a Pastor’s child, yet she is blaspheming from day one! She is supposed to be portrayed as a meek and mild person who is ‘lured’ into this. Meek and mild Minister’s kids don’t start off blasphemous because they don’t grow up with it! (I guess you now know why this isn’t my genre)!

The intrigue is: What really happened on That Night? I’m not sure that I’m THAT Interested anymore...
