the book itself was ok...but the narrator made the male voices sound really ...like they were dumb...not like i would imagine a hero would sound. that would have made a lot of difference in my rating...sorry...bev6886
"Did not realize it was abridged."
Love the original story, felt like the abridged version cut out good details and parts of the novel. In order to truly enjoy the novel, I would either just read it or wait for an unabridged version to come out. Not worth the money otherwise.
"Why Abridged??? Horrible Male Character Voice"
The unabridged story like the original book. Believable male character voice.
All the characters are great but the male voice sounds like a woman...doesn't do justice to the male lead who is truly a heroic character with manly attributes but a feminine voice.
Great story line and great characters
Just a poor performance of the male lead voice and the abridged book leaves out a lot of what makes this a great story. Very disappointed. Truly a book to be read many times but listening to this rendition is horrible even once. Sad reading of a great book.
"Tenders love story!!"
Good...somewhere in the middle of the pack!
Love me some happy ending!!!
No, but I loved her acting back in the day!!
Normal people, in bad situations, triumph. While both discover what love Really is. A TRUE romance! CLASSIC!
"DEBORAH RAFFIN WAS SUPERB! SHE DIDN'T JUST READ IT"
I PLAN TO LISTEN AGAIN AND AGAIN. ITS A GREAT STORY.
I LIKE LAVYRLE SPENCER'S WRITING A LOT
