Accomplished actor Heather Wilds' enthusiastic and warm voice is a perfect mate to Andrea Bramhall's debut novel, Ladyfish. With a forceful energy, Wilds brings to life all of the tension and romance from Bramhall's Florida Keys where two women are on a crash course for love or complete disaster. Olivia Zuckerman is a pro scuba diving instructor, but she is also a pro at courting women. Daniela Finnsbury-Sterling is a rebellious girl trying to shed the influence of her father. When she turns up in Florida, there is no telling what will happen.
Can love blossom beneath the waves of the Florida Keys? Or will the shadows that haunt two strangers prove too much to survive?
Scuba diving instructor Olivia Zuckerman loves guiding tourists under the water almost as much as she loves guiding women to her bed. Coerced into picking up a new trainee from the airport, Oz has no idea that her life is about to change in every imaginable way.
Daniela Finnsbury-Sterling, Finn to her friends, is trying to break away from an overbearing father, a man intent on making her life fit his plans. Desperate to make her own way, she escapes to Florida to train as a diving instructor. She knows it won't be easy. She knows her father will do anything he can to force her back into line. Unfortunately, she has no idea exactly what anything will be!

"Not really what I had hoped for."
Maybe someone more interested in diving? Or someone not interested in romance or intimate scenes. Because this book was a little shallow in those areas. So to speak.
I think I will go back to some mystery/drama stories. I enjoy a good Dexter book, or Reacher. I listen at work so anything longer than 15 hours is good. Gives me some entertainment for a couple days. Anything less just seems short and not worth the expense. I've just about exhausted the lesbian romance genre on audible. For now.
The narrator was enjoyable. I was thinking they would do a search for the missing mom. Some parts seemed rushed, and some seemed not to get a proper ending. It just kind of stopped.
"Charming, funny and sweet."
I loved the accents and "personas" that Heather Wilds gave the characters.
Definitely Finn! Sweet, kind, intelligent and witty as hell... the total package!
LOVED Heather Wilds performance as the narrator!
"A nice distraction for an afternoon of labor."
I listened to this audiobook while shoveling out a water feature and building a rock wall. it was a nice distraction. I was impressed by the lack of cliched characters among the book's core; with the possible exception of the book's villain. The author went a little overboard on the protagonists sexual past, and her love interests lack thereof, but it was only a small distraction. Overall the story is pretty good, and it flows well. The science in the book, as well as the military background of the protagonists family adds to it.
Amazing love story!! The story keeps you on your seat, not only for the e
"Good suspense and romance"
Ladyfish is book 1 and Swordfish is book 2. Best part of this book is the awesome narrator. Heather has to be English her accent is so good. Lovely dangerous adventure and romance as well.
"A very questionable plot"
Not really. The overall story was weak and lacked substance in my opinion.
The idea of having to murder the entire world to make a buck.
Daniela Finnsbury-Sterling, Finn to her friends.
More of it.
This story really didn't need the idea of committing mass murder for the sake of making money. On top of that, it ended badly.
