Summary

From spring to summer, autumn to winter, a lot can happen in a single year....

Tilly Parker needs a fresh start, fresh air, and a fresh attitude if she is ever to leave the past behind and move on with her life. As she seeks out peace and quiet in a new town, taking on a plot at Ivy Lane allotments seems like the perfect solution.

But the friendly Ivy Lane community has other ideas and gradually draw Tilly in to their cosy, comforting world of planting seedlings, organizing bake sales, and planning seasonal parties.

As the seasons pass, will Tilly learn to stop hiding amongst the sweetpeas and let people back into her life - and her heart?

A charming and romantic story certain to make you smile - perfect for fans of Carole Matthews, Trisha Ashley, and Katie Fforde.

Ivy Lane was originally published as a four-part serial. This is the complete story in one package.

Good insight into the slow journey of healing

If you are looking for a riveting, suspense-full read then this book would not be for you. It's gentle & unfurls slowly, blossoming with soft pushes from the minutiae/ little things in life that actually make all the difference to how we feel. I never " got" the connection between the main character & a probation officer that turned up briefly in the story. The romantic theme was a bit too drawn out for my liking. On the whole a quiet, non pretentious read.

Really childish and dull.

Really childish and unrealistic got to half way though and wished I had returned it for a credit but kept hoping it would get better.

A good listen but a bit farcical at times

I liked the way the story unwound although it was all quite predictable. The Christmas party muddle was a bit convoluted to be believable which was a shame and slightly annoying but otherwise a good listen.

Nice easy listen

This was a nice gentle listen, perfect for pottering or doing jobs to.
The characters were varied and grew as the story progressed and at no point did I get bored of their antics.
The narration was very good and clear and I would listen to more by this narrator.
All in all, would recommend.

A personal tell of the tale

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Life growth love

Any additional comments?
