Publisher's Summary

Dan and Sally Oliver and their friend Chloe Hennessey are lucky to be alive. Three years on, after surviving one of the world's biggest natural disasters - the Boxing Day tsunami - their lives have changed dramatically.

Dan and Sally are now parents. Dan is enjoying being a stay-at-home father taking care of their young son, and Sally is the bread winner and loves her job as a partner in a Manchester law firm. The arrangement has so far worked well, but when Dan starts to question whether Sally has got her priorities right, the cracks in their marriage begin to appear.

Dan and Sally have everything Chloe wishes for in life - a happy marriage and a beautiful child. Dumped by her long-term boyfriend just weeks after the tsunami, she's been on a mission ever since to find the perfect father for the child she craves. When she meets Seth Hawthorne, she thinks she may have hit the jackpot. But is Seth the man she thinks he is?

    "Disappointing"

I started listening to this after finishing Erica James 'The Hidden Cottage' and this feels like it was written by a different author. I loved the plot, the characterisation and the narration of 'The Hidden Cottage' and the way the author so completely drew me into the characters lives. This book, however, did not grip me at all, the pace was very slow, I didn't particularly like any of the characters and didn't care what happened to them . I also found Julia Franklin's narration irritating especially her voicing of the male characters.

    "It's the little things"

The book kept me listening to the end. A tale of how the Tsunami on Boxing Day changed the lives of 4 friends. Nothing earth shattering just following the lives of people affected by tradegy and how lives take different twists and turns

    "Couldn't finish it"

This is the first audiobook I haven't been able to finish. Having said that it is an easy listen, but I felt that the narrators voice was not suited to the style of the book, which increasingly got on my nerves! I can't exactly put my finger on it, but perhaps it should have been read by someone more contemporary with the characters.Although its not for me, please dont be put off - you may really enjoy it.

    "Feel good"

This was a lovely feel good story, enables one to shut out the worries of the day and pretend. True though it is the little things so a good moral to the story.

    "Well read"

This is a well read story. The story was nicely written although I was not ever moved to tears when I thought I might have been nor did I feel that sense of well being at the way all turned out. Not sure about all that.
