Publisher's Summary

New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Jay Crownover returns with her most complicated hero yet, in the first book in the romantic suspense series The Breaking Point.

Don't be fooled.

Don't make excuses for me.

I am not a good man.

I've seen things no one should, done things no one should talk about. Honor and conscience have no place in my life. But I've fought, and I've survived. I've had to.

The first time I saw her dancing on that seedy stage in that second-rate club, I felt my heart pulse for the first time. Keelyn Foster was too young, too vibrant for this place, and I knew in an instant that I would make her mine. But first I had to climb my way to the top. I had to have something more to offer her.

I'm here now, money is no object, and I have no equal. Except for her. She's disappeared. But don't worry, I will find her and claim her. She will be mine.

Like I said, don't be fooled. I am not the devil in disguise.... I'm the one standing front and center.

"Another excellent visit to the point"

Nasir ..The devil you love to hate ... or maybe not. The story of the haunted and broken crime boss who just wants to be a real boy and Kieland, his ex stripper saviour who can show him the way. Another hard, gritty, heartbreaking and engaging episode in a truly outstanding series from Jay Crownover. Both narrators did a great job.

    "Fantastic story, awful narration"

All Stars are for the story. Jay Crownover has written one of the best series I have ever read. These men are strong, unapologetic and Nassir is no different. I do wish we would have seen a little more of his ruthless side. He " softened" a bit too quickly in the story for me. Our heroin was amazing. She was everything portrayed in the previous books and more. I love the way she developed in the story!
Sadly, the narration was terrible. Both male and female narrators were fine when they were in their original characters, but when they had to change voices for everyone else in the story, they were terrible! especially the female narrator. All of a sudden friends we've known throughout the series had Southern accents that totally didn't make any sense at all. And with the male narrator, the other men in the story sounded whiny and high-pitched.
But do not let this stop you from buying this book! This entire serious is awesome. Have fun!

"THIS EPIC STORY & ITS CHARACTERS STOLE MY HEART"

Nassir Gates isn't his real name.. he changed it when he came to America - wanting nothing to do with his old life where he was used by his Mother as a weapon of revenge.. then used by different forces for his skills at killing, espionage and mass destruction. He had no will of his own - he was just a pawn in greedy men's hands.. until he said enough, staged his own death and ended up in the Point. He's handsome, charismatic and sexy too but Nassir doesn't do serious relationships - until he sees a young Keelyn (aka Key) up on stage stripping and something happened to his heart.. it came to life. However, it wouldn't be until Nassir had climbed his way to the top of the food chain that he could finally claim Key.. but by this time she was older, wiser, more experienced and.. on the run from him.

Keelyn Foster had had it rough growing up in the Point where options and choices were non existent so she had started out stripping in a seedy Club which is where she first laid eyes on a mysterious beautiful man. The stranger had saved her from being abused on stage and she was mezmerized and very grateful.. until she watched him brutally beat her attacker. Since then Keelyn knew the infamous Nassir was infatuated and wanted her.. and only her but she knew his reputation and what he was capable of - so, for years she rejected his every plea, and finally found a way to claw herself out of the Point.. and out of Nassir's life - well that's what she thought.

How can I sum up just how much I loved this action packed dual POV listen that told of Nassir's devotion, dedication and love for one woman.. Key the woman that has always said "no", the woman he can't have and the woman he has built a Sex Club for to lure her back. Both Nassir and Keelyn are damaged but when they eventually come together they're a force like no other - but before they can get their HEA's there's conflicts, crisis, twists and bloodshed. Strong loveable characters, deep unguarded feelings, sex, tension, angst and drama are just a few of the thing that you'll find in this touching and very addictive love story. In Nassir's eyes Key was his equal - beauty, brains, bravery and a strong will.. and the war of attraction was a joy and feast to witness. Good narration too.

Worth a credit? Oh YES it was everything I was expecting and so so much more too from a trusted well loved Author. Somehow I've skipped and missed books 2 and 3 - a situation I'm about to rectify now because once you've witnessed life in the Point you'll never want to leave.

    "Excellent dark story"

Book was excellent and loved the characters. The female narrator was good at both voices, but the male was really only good at his character. It was okay though, and not too distracting.

"The Devil has found his endgame...."

This is a dark, delicious, suspenseful, steamy, and even romantic story. Honor & Nassir have a complicated history, as the story progresss you can clearly see how equally matched they truly are together. Keelyn aka Honor is a firecracker with a ballsy attitude. She is strong, intelligent and sexually confident. Nassir is an enigmatic crime lord whose definitely super sexy badass man candy! He may be cold and calculating, but the author gives us every aspect of his dark and heartbreaking past which sculpted him into the man he is today. Nassir fell for Keelyn the moment he laid eyes on her– working the pole at Spanky’s strip club. That's when he found his endgame. When the raw energy finally combusts between these two magnetic characters it makes this book even more extraordinary. Everything about this story bleed passion & seduction. Nassir could really be a silver-tongued devil when he wanted to and allow his vulnerability side show. Who knew the Devil could be so swoon worthy? And their chemistry is so hot, it burns up the pages. I don’t want to give any of the storyline away, so I am just going to say this book book is worth the credit. It's a beautiful and twisted love story that leaves you begging for more and happy knowing love does prevail.

"Another winner in the addictive Point series"

To start, The Devil sounds sexy as hell in audio!

A man who was hard to like and dirty as hell in The Point series comes to life in Honor. We see all sides of the man. He's ruthless, manipulative, sexy!, a killer, a businessman, more illegal than legal, and not who you think he is. He is a man with a conscience, a man who can deliver hell because he has survived hell, a man who loves and a man with honor.

Honor, Keelyn, is his true equal but she fears her need of him, her love for The Devil, and what she will be both with him and without him. But sometimes, giving in to love is so very rewarding, frightening but fulfilling. She is far stronger than she believes and Nassir finds this strength sexier than he could have believed. She is good for him, his business and The Point. She is feisty and loyal.

    Together, they are unstoppable.
