It wasn't supposed to be me. I was just delivering a cake for a friend - I sure as hell wasn't a birthday gift to a billionaire. But now that I was here, I didn't dare leave. Even if I wanted to, he wouldn't let me.
Lacey Miller is two days away from being kicked out of her apartment when her best friend offers her a job for some quick cash. Easy as cake, right? Wrong. Billionaire playboy Jake Carville has been looking for years for the perfect submissive. On his birthday, he's looking forward to a special gift: a girl who can satisfy his every dark craving. But when Lacey walks through the wrong door and into Jake's arms, she's everything he'd hoped for...and nothing he ever expected. How can he lose himself, heart and soul, to a girl he was never supposed to meet?

Lots of hotness and an effort at a storyline, it was just somehow lacking. I think maybe too much sexy stuff - a prime example of when less is more...
OMG... I have raid this book 3 time an im in love with the characters in this book. ..
Do you know when His Ransom will in available ?
I wanted to love this book but it didn't happen. characters didn't develop enough to make me feel involved in the story.
"It was romance at its most erotic!"
I loved the story line. Of course, the idea of a billionaire being a street artist who tags buildings in his down time is pretty outrageous. However, we have to remember that it is a fictional story that needs this bit in order for Lacey to be distracted in the penthouse in the first place. It gave the story dimension and depth.
I liked the interaction between Lacey and Jake. I'm a sucker for stories about a person from the wrong side of the tracks capturing the heart of the billionaire. The fact that it took one kiss to break through Jake's walls was heart wrenching. Lacey could have left at any time, but she stuck it out and was able to help Jake open up. I love a good girl-saves-boy romance. The erotica portion of the story was just a bonus.
I was able to "read" it during a road trip. I love to read and would not have been able to read it otherwise.
I will always have a problem with women doing the male voices. It was a good job, considering the fact that Stephanie didn't sound at all like a man.
"What a surprising story"
This story started off a bit flat and predictable but as you get into it further along it heats up and it's worth a credit. You have your alpha male and a funny, witty, sassy woman Worth the credit. the narrative did an excellent job.
Interesting premise but a little silly and no character development at all - just lots of sex. Narrator was OK but story very thin.
I read the books prior to listening to the audio book. This is my first audiobook to listen to and I will have to say I loved it. The narrators voice was very easy to listen to.
