In this novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts, diamonds can be a girl's best friend...or her worst enemy.
She couldn't remember a thing, not even who she was. But it was clear Bailey James was in trouble. Big trouble. And she desperately needed private eye Cade Parris to help her find out just what kind. Surely she wasn't a criminal--but then what on earth was she doing with a bag full of cash and a stunning blue diamond as big as a baby's fist?

"Not the best but not the worst"
It was a little slow for me & sort of easy to figure out. But I would read more Nora Roberts books.
"It was ok..."
This is definitely not my favourite Nora Roberts' book, but her writing is generally so superb and the narrator excellent, that it wasn't a complete waste of time. I will definitely listen to the 2nd and 3rd book.
"Good book. Bad narrator"
I like this book and would recommend but I found it hard to get over the voice of the narrator. It was not pleasant.
Too much sex not enough real plot. Was very disappointed and will not buy the next two in series.
"Great story, weak heron"
This was a great storyline and progressed well. Scott Merriman gave a great performance. I gave the story a 4 because I really did not like the Bailey character. She was so weak and dramatic, specially in the beginning. I'm simply not fond of simpering or fragile characters. With Robert's trilogies, I seem to either really hate them or really like them. I think I will like this one. Made me want to buy the next installment.
"Good book. enjoyed"
Good book like many of the others. Theme was familure but enjoyed all the same.
Nora Roberts at her best. So glad there are more in the series. can't wait to read next one!
"Good book! "
I liked the narrator. The story was good. I'd definitely recommend this book to others.
"Hidden Star Lacked Luster"
I like most of Nora Roberts novels, but could not connect with the characters in this book. An unrealistic love story about a private detective that falls in love at first site with a distraught client, professes his love to her on the second day and asks her to marry him on the third, all while she is suffering temporary amnesia.
I would put this book close to the bottom of the stack.
Merriman did a splendid job trying to make the characters believable. The content was a bit choppy and the long paragraphs were confusing at times.
Probably not. This kind of story has been told over and over in different scenarios.
The story line held my interest, even though I found it strange that the man had the love at first sight reaction without magic being involved. I'm looking forward to the next two books because it'll finish the story. The narrator was good, he only had one voice that grated on my nerves and that character wasn't in the story long.
