    "A really good listen"

I'm a big fan of MMA books and being a fan of Emily and Alexis, I knew this would be a must listen for me.

Kane and Emmy have amazing chemistry and fit together perfectly. Neither of them has had an easy past and are both broken in different ways.

Logan McAllister did a great job at narrating, but probably would of benefitted from having a female narrator for Emmy's POV.

    "Review"

I think that this is a touching love story and Kane and Emmy both damaged by their childhood are perfect for each other. There are some very exciting scenes both violent and emotional. I have to praise Logan for his narration of the boxing scene I thought he made it riveting. This is a really good story though I think the sex could have been toned down a bit. But that is just my personal opinion.

    "COMMON STORYLINE, BUT WELL TOLD"

I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.

Enjoyable enough listen. World building and writing skill was upper grade. The storyline was common but well told and used a lot of cliche and unrealistic situations. Even with that, the romance was sweet with a HEA.

Logan McAllister has a wonderfully sexy voice. He does a good female but he only uses it for the quotes, not the perspectives. I occasionally was mixed up as to who's head I was in :)

    ONE BIG THUMB UP.

    "Good story and narration"
Would you try another book from Emily Minton and Alexis Noelle and/or Logan McAllister?

Yes. This was my first book from these authors and the story was pretty good.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

I think the narration was good but it could have benefited from a female and male narrator since it is dual pov. That being said I think the narrator did a good job with the female voices and a really good job with the male voices.

Was Ground & Pound worth the listening time?

I think it was. I listened to it in about one siting and I was invested in the story. If you dont mind dual pov with one narrator, I think you should check this one out.

    "hot and steamy"

I was gifted this audio ARC for a honest and unbiased review from the author/narrator.
These 2 authors Emily Minton & Alexis Noelle have written a good solid story with Logan McAllister doing a really good narration. Logan was clearly spoken with a nice even pace. His voice is so deep and gravelly makes you want more! It is one of the more enjoyable shorter stories I have listened to in a while.
This short was extremely well put together and entertaining. I listened to it without a break that's how good it was.
    A MUST BUY!!!!

"Great Story - Less than Par Narrating"
    Any additional comments?

I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom. I really wanted to enjoy this audiobook. The story is very interesting and the narrator has a pleasant voice to listen to, but he performs with too much monotone. He doesn't put too much inflection in his voice which gets very annoying. Luckily the story and writing kept me interested that I tried very hard not to let the narrators performance keep me to finishing the audiobook. I would love to see this audiobook re-recorded using a different voice performer like Aiden Snow, Jeffrey Kafer, Joe Arden or Luke Daniels. It's still worth a listen, but be prepared not to expect excellent narrating performance.

    3.5 stars

Very entertaining, engaging and enjoyable. Keep your earbuds in for this one. The steamy romance is hot & heavy in this story.

A story about an MMA fighter and Stripper is nothing new or unusual and the story is predictable in many ways with a few unexpected twists to keep it interesting. It's a good solid story with really good narration. It is one of the more enjoyable shorter stories I have listened to in a while. Being a shorter story it moves at a pretty fast pace. It's well written and flowed smoothly with characters that were well developed.

Each have had their own rough patches in life. Kane and his brother suffered at the hands of and abusive father. Emmy is helping to raise her younger brother after their parents died. When they meet the attraction is immediate and sparks fly.

Logan McAllister does a really good job with the narration as usual. Clearly spoken with a nice even pace. His voice is so deep and gravelly just how you want your bad boy to sound. Of coarse his male character voices are great. His female "in character" voices are really good as well, but when narrating the "thinking" female parts it's done in his regular voice which is a bit confusing at times. It's Emmy thinking but in Kane's voice. He was able to bring the characters, their emotions and story to life through his narration. Very enjoyable.

This would have been a great book with dual narration.

    Repeated lines occasionally.

    "Good MMA Romance"
    Any additional comments?

Ground & Pound is the story of an MMA fighter named Kane and Emmy, a stripper. Both of them are working hard toward their goals and don't want distractions. When Kane meets Emmy he has to have her. They both relinquish the control that they have so carefully guarded and must fight for their love.

Even though this is a romance, the first part of the book outlines the domestic abuse that Kane's family suffered at the hands of his father. It was a difficult section to listen to but it was essential to the character development of Kane. Emmy's background was also sad, losing her parents and now supporting her younger brother. Stripping was only a means to an end - putting her brother through college.

I loved Kane and Emmy's story and their HEA. As usual, Logan McAllister's narration was terrific. I would recommend Ground & Pound.

"Gotta fight for what you want"
    Any additional comments?

"This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review."

This is the first time I've read either of these authors. I can guarantee it won't be the last. It's a shorter story so the love is insta, but it's a good story. Boy sees girl, boy wants girl, boy gets girl.

There are a few outside forces that try to keep Kane and Emmy apart, but it takes more than that to stop true love.

Emmy is raising her brother on her own and has turned to the one thing guaranteed to make easy money: Stripping.

Kane Travis is a fighter. Born to a shitty father yet an amazing mother, Kane has pursued a career in professional fighting. He's excellent at what he does.

When Kane sees Emmy, he knows he has to have her. Enter alpha male tendencies and Emmy clearly can't resist. I mean, who can resist the gorgeous fighter who won't stop pursing her?

    No one.

I enjoyed this and it's short length didn't hinder the story at all. There is still drama--some that hits close to home for many. There is still a love story.

And the narration is excellent. I had never listened to this narrator before, but he was the perfect Kane Travis. I also enjoyed his narration of Emmy. It wasn't overdone or ridiculous. He told the story well and I was able to distinguish between characters.

    "Exhilarating & Sexy Romance"

This MMA romance is fast paced, suspenseful and sexy. Kane and Emmy meet at the strip club where Emmy dances. They have instant and electric attraction. Kane always gets what he wants and he wants Emmy more than anything. No matter how hot, charming and persuasive Kane could be, Emmy refused to be a one night stand or fall for false promises. After a brief and smoking hot encounter backstage, Emmy runs from Kane. He is so intrigued by this beautiful, intelligent and sassy woman, that he breaks all his rules by wanting to know more about her and goes after her. I really enjoyed Emmy and Kanes' romance. Kane was so sweet, sexy, bossy, and protective. Emmy was loving, Independent, and determined. They were a perfect match and their chemistry was smoking hot. There were some plot twists that were painful and heartbreaking adding to the suspense of the story. I really enjoyed Logan McAllister's narration. His inflections were perfect and he made the characters come alive. I was totally engaged from start to finish. I was a bit disappointed in the end of the story tho. I felt that their choice was out of character for both of these strong and independent people. Other than that I really enjoyed this exhilarating, and sexy romance.

I had high hopes for this after reading the blurb but unfortunately it fell flat for me. It was predictable and didn't hold my interest. I kept going to the end waiting for it to pick up but it never did.

There was very little differentiation between the narration of Kane and Emmy's POV and at times was confusing- no change of voice for Emmy's chapters just read straight, especially her inner monologues.
