Long drawn out!

Wonderfully sweeping end of the world saga. if you've only just picked this up now, please look up book one , as this is almost the end of the series!

The very first thing that struck me as I began to listen was a sudden change in Richard Ferrone's pronunciation of "Petra" to "Peetra"??

some of the other pronunciation is a little off as well I was startled to hear "Byzantine" pronounced as "Bizzenteen". The name Enoch is pronounced Eenick. throughout the series I've had issues with Richard Ferrone:s dismal attempt at different accents. The only attempt he makes to veer from his native broad American accent for the various Greek, Hebrew, Jewish or Chinese characters is to pronounce the words a little more precisely. Occasionally one of the female characters will have a higher voice, but not always so there are a lot of baritone women hanging around (presumably on their way to gender reassignment and taking testosterone supplements).

Multicultural in an American accent!

This, the final book in the 12 part series, is very long drawn out but it's still a good story and accurately based on the Bible.
Richard Ferrone, the narrator for almost the whole series, briefly (in one book, maybe book 8?) tried to make a go of all the many different accents from the multicultural cast, but soon abandoned the attempt and stuck to his broad American accent for every Israeli, Hebrew, Chinese, Spanish etc for the whole rest of the books. He doesn't try to change his voice for the female characters either. The bit where Chloe is singing while in prison is very comical in a deep wobbly old- man baritone.
I carried on listening because this book isn't available in any other narration and it's a good story overall.
