For the past dozen years, Victor Bayne has solved numerous murders by interrogating witnesses only he can see - dead witnesses. But when his best friend Lisa goes missing from the sunny California campus of PsyTrain, the last thing he wants to find there is her spirit.
Disappearing without a trace in a school full of psychics? That's some trick. But somehow both Lisa and her roommate have vanished into thin air. A group of fanatics called Five Faith has been sniffing around, and Lisa's email is compromised.
Time is running out, and with no ghosts to cross-examine, Vic can't afford to turn down any offers of help. An old enemy can provide an innovative way to track Vic's missing friend, and he enters into an uneasy alliance - even though its ultimate cost will ensnare him in a debt he may never manage to settle.

Vic and Jacob's story just gets better and better !! This series is truly unique!! I love the writing, storylines and characters ..the next story is on auto buy 😀
Lily reads, writes, and reviews m/m romance.
Fabulous narration as always by Gomez Pugh. I adore his characterisation of the main characters especially. A long yet enjoyable story with some touching moments between Vic and Jacob. Plus a surprise ending.
"At the risk of sounding like a broken record..."
Fabulous storyline...fabulous voice actor! Can't wait for Spook Squad to be performed by Gomez!
It's funny how many subtleties and sheer funniness you miss while reading that you catch while listening that makes you marvel at the genius work of both author and narrator.
All I can say is 'Thank you Jordan and Gomez!'
"Must Read Series!"
This was another excellent addition to this series.. We get to see Victor gain a few abilities and the return of the GhosTV as they attempt to figure out what is going on with Lisa.
As usual the plot is crazy twisty and hard to put down. The men are crazy hot and I can't help but love Victor's wittiness while panting over Jacob's hotness and the way he cares for Victor.
Gomez does an excellent job of narrating once again bringing live to the already great book written by Ms Price.
Can't wait for more of these characters especially after the little surprise we get at the end!!!
I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Inked Rainbow Reads.
"Love 'em all!"
This series is an automatic download for me. Victor 's thoughts are so 'off-the-wall!!!' Jordan is s very talented author & where she comes up with this stuff is beyond me & beyond funny & entertaining. Well worth a credit.
"Dear Jordan and Gomez"
I heart you - you're a winning combination - lightening in a bottle. Even though I read this via ebook version, the moment that the audio came out there was no hesitation to purchase it.
"More entertaining than watching your (ghost)TV!"
I've listened to other Psycop books read by Gomez Pugh, and I'm always ridiculously pleased with them. He is probably the best matched narrator I've ever found for an audio book... He does every character's voice perfectly, but his Vic is so spot on that I now hear Gomez's voice when I'm reading the books! Outstanding.
"GhosTV- That's the Spirit"
I am always so pumped when a PsyCop novel/audiobook comes out. I've been waiting for this one with baited breath as it is the longest in the series and I could listen to Gomez Pugh all day...and night. I even warmed to Dreyfuss; as sleazy as he is. The characterizations were on point and Victor and Jacob remain my favorite m/m couple evah. Still, I wanted more Crash and Ms. Mattie as well as more of Jacob's family. Already can't wait to get the next one. Thanks Jordan and Gomez 👍🏽👏🏽🌈
"Vic looks good with confidence"
Loved it! Great story, characters, humor, and mystery. Gomez knocked it out of the park with his narration.
This book is part of a series and I have not read any of the other previous books. With that said, I am not sure that this is a stand alone book because much of the primary character's angst centered on past experiences and the story did not explain much of what happened in the past, other than it was not good. I think I would be better served going back and starting from #1 in order to get the full gist of the story. That said, I did enjoy this book and I liked it for the most part. The paranormal genre can certainly draw one in. Though I was a bit lost of some of the history of the intertwining characters, I enjoyed the basics of the story and the dynamics between the two lead characters. I will be curious to see where the next chapter takes them...but first, back to the beginning! Additionally, the narrator did an excellent job distinguishing the characters and added to the story.
"Too many superlatives - just amazing!"
Oh man. So, you remember how cool that Ghost TV was when we first saw it in book 2, right? Well, now we get to see what it really does, and man, is it ever awesome!
First, we see Lisa’s new Psy Train and meet some more people from Vic’s past. We see how the new group of psychics are being trained and we learn even more about Vic’s talent. AND Jacob’s! Woot!
We also see a little bit of what Con Dryfuss is all about and that man is about as cool as any super spy could possibly be. What can’t he do? I’m not sure it can be measured!
There is a lot of very cool metaphysical stuff in this book. Sure, there is a bit of creepiness, but most of this feels like a tense “whodunit” rather than scary, ghost story. At times it felt like “Clue” as people keep going missing and clues get dropped one by one.
I found the OBE (out of body experiences) to be fascinating. How each person “sees” themselves and what they can do. I’m not sure how Jordan went about preparing her research, but I do know that some of what she speculates here is practiced and I think the whole damn thing is just so compelling. The mind is such an unknown quantity when you break it down, we really don’t know much about it.
I was so happy to see Lisa again, and though we don’t see much of Crash this go around, what we do see is funny/touching, as usual.
So, I can’t really gush any more than I have, but Gomez Pugh. *sigh I just love him! He’s absolutely made these characters real for me and I feel like I’m walking into their lives when he tells their story. He’s gotten even better, as each story progresses, just subtle nuancy things that make his performances even more tight.
I’m sad to see this series wrapping up, but I’m so happy to have had the experience of listening to these books.

"Ghost of a chance you won't love it"
I could have paced myself, after all as a fan of the series I already knew the ending. Instead I spent every spare moment listening to each word; relishing the small wonderful nuances Pugh's voice gives to JCP's already terrifically written characters. I especially loved how the shifts in voice tone and inflection emphasized the difference between each characters astral identity and their public personas. The author presents similar dualities for the sub characters as well, and the narrator teases them all out. Brilliant.
